Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation is quite far from centre of Dhulikhel as mentioned. An easy 30 minute walk but along rural roads, so best not to do at night. So either have early dinner before returning to property or have dinner at property.
Lovely owners and home. Great view of the valley and a great roof terrace. Very helpful in trying to help me get to Nagarkot. No taxis would come so they offered to drive me on motorbike, which I politely declined and got bus instead. Lovely to hear the backstory of the English speaking school close by.

United KingdomSuper helpful host, Prem. Away from the crowds. Peaceful with great views over the valley. Accommodated vegan meals. Offered reliable shuttle service (me to Nagarkot). He also does a shuttle service to and from Kathmandu airport. Other places too I think. He also offers trekking/hiking.

NetherlandsFrom the main road to the guesthouse is a very steep road, but the owner will gladly help you carry your bags if needed
Amazing views from the Guest house which is a delightful way of waking up and enjoying your breakfast. You are out of the busy city life here and can easily come to rest and plan your trip to Namo Buddha. The best thing about our stay was the hospitality and always smiling owner of the guesthouse. I can easily recommend this place to families or anyone wanting to enjoy breathtaking views from the terrace.

The location is perfect to watch mountain ranges and the owner of the homestay is such a cool person. He is always there to help you with anything. I had a very great stay here exploring the street art of Dhulikhel village. And the complimentary breakfast was too good.

Hong KongBecause the house was so near to Forrest and mountains. At night, there were some insects tried to fly into the room. But it was fine if closed the window in a proper way. Everything is good for me even though the cute cute insects and mosquitoes.
The breakfast and dinner were so good. Prem ‘s wife is a good chef. I really enjoyed two nights staying in this village nearby the mountains. The weather was changing at every moment. I napped a lot in my room because the wind and air was so gentle to relax there. Prem is a polite and honest man. He is also a trekking guide. I would be definitely back next time to trek with him.

IndonesiaA little bit dusty but it because of dry season. Also flies get into the room when the windows open. It takes us some times to get rid of them out of our room.
The view is exceptional.. breakfast is really good. The owner and family are very friendly and super helpful with recommendations. I’d definitely come back!

New ZealandI miscalculated how far the guest lodge was from the centre of Dhulikhel and its old town (4.2kms) so a bit of a walk or a tuk-tuk ride to an ATM and transport connections. On the other hand, the guest lodge was quiet and peaceful, specially at night with tremendous views all around.
What a charming guest lodge and wonderful hosts. The room was large with its own balcony and bathroom. It was very comfortable. It suited me to have both breakfast and dinner at the lodge and the food was delicious. It was quiet and very much part of the Tamang community. I loved being able to see the locals tending their goats, cultivating crops and building by hand. They all work very hard and look after each other and their guests very well. The son of the owner took me to visit the local community school and on a motorbike ride through more remote villages in the mountains.

United KingdomThe views were amazing! On a clear day you can see the Himalayan range! The rooms are cosy and the hot showers are divine! Prem and his family are so wonderful and friendly, always there to give advice and help with anything. The property is a 30 minute walk from Dhulikel town so away from noise and in a beautiful spot. Also, the trekker’s breakfast will fill you up for hours - great to eat before hiking to Namo Buddha (a great day hike from the guest house).

10 ++++ / A++++ stay. Great owner and wife. He was friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. Great room with views. Quiet location with a wonderful balcony. Great WiFi connection. Great co-owner (wife) who cooks great. Great dinner and breakfast. Loved the location, in the middle of nowhere, but it was the real Nepal, a tiny village, I loved it. Large comfortable room. They brought local beer to my room upon request. The water was decent but could have been a little hotter. Great rooftop views as well. Nice view of the mountain range. Daniel USA

FranceI’ve stayed only one night for a stop between Dhulikel and Nagarkot, it was everything I needed: comfy room, terrace with an amazing view, and most of all Prem that was so nice and helped me a lot for the new step of my trip. The dinner and the breakfast is all homemade 😍 a very good place to stay to discover Dhulikhel or stop for a night between 2 trekking sessions in the valley.

So pleased we stayed here with the inspirational Prem and his family. The room was lovely, the shower hot, water filter to re- fill bottles, great roof top balcony. His trekkers breakfast sets you up for the day too! We did the circular hike ....24 k to Namombuddha with his directions and were happy to end the day with a great meal and chat. Nothing is too much trouble for his guests so make the trip out here...a real Nepali experience. Namaste Prem.
