How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe chose this hotel because of the AC in the rooms, which was definitely a life-saver in this humid area. We were upgraded to a better room because of off-season and some construction that was going on. Some of the staff members were really friendly and helpful and we could add one more night for the same discounted price. They made us packed breakfast because we had to leave early. The pool was nice. The location is good.
The shower area was on the same level as the toilet so that the floor around the toilet remained wet for a long time. Also on the second night, we had some bugs in the room, which wasn't that pleasant but partly understandable with the location being on the riverside in such a humid area.

Verified reviewI like how we get complimentary pick up and drop from the tourist bus stop. Lifts off unnecessary thinking for transport in the area, I so appreciate it. The place is in the main road and 2 minutes walk to the river and safari tour point. The room is huge, woody and with log design that adds up to the cabin feels in the wild. It has a good balcony where you can enjoy a lovely view of the sunset by the river which is also perfect for slow morning and late night talks. They have nice pool and huge breakfast with a garden view. But what stood out is how the staff is very pleasant and friendly. They sure made a good impression on how welcoming they are on their guests.
We stayed on one of their older property which needs improvement on facilities but they have newer rooms which are available if you prefer. Some power interruptions in mid evening maybe 5-10 mins given the area is rural part of Nepal.

Cons: They support elephant riding and unethical elephant activities. We did not know this until we booked and arrived. We were very disappointed to see this. Elephants are chained up all day until they are forced to give tourists rides. They are constantly abused.

I’m very sorry, however,to learn that no one asked you to clean your room. To clarify your complain i want to say that our staff don’t enter your room without your permission cuz we have suffered in past days of guest complaining about there missing items when our housekeeping entered for daily check. So we only clean the room once our guest tells us to do so. I myself was there to assure your comfortability yaakov so i upgraded your room from superior to front view deluxe. I thought i tried my best to make you happy but never thought you will come up with this review. We treat guest as our god. I myself felt really sorry that i couldn’t meet you at your departure day. I have told all staff to take care of your comfortability and as responsible person i myself want to say sorry. Sorry Yaakov that i failed to make you happy. We hope you might give us another opportunity to welcome you back—perhaps next time you can unwind by our pool while our team takes care of every detail. Verified reviewThe swimming pool made our stay perfect as the weather was too hot. The staff were very useful, there was a problem with the hot water shower and they didn't hesitate to upgrade our room. Breakfast was fantastic compared to other hotels'. The location was perfect, just next to the park safari gate and by the river. The sunset from the river side of the hotel was superb. All excellent, we really liked this hotel!
