New hotel panda is my go-to-hotel in Kathmandu and I’ve tried a few. For a low prize it offers everything I need: a comfortable bed, warm water, a beautiful rooftop and soap, toothbrush and towels. I tried out other places but always ended up here again. It’s in a quiet area which is nice, they are open 24/7 at the reception and very uncomplicated:)

You can hear everything and gets loud at night, especially in the hallways when people are coming back from the night out.

We stayed there about two weeks and it was a great place to stay and very affordable. The owner and the staffs were amazing, welcoming us everyday. The property was very close to where we wanted to go. Me and my friends would definitely come back and check this place out when we come back to Kathmandu.

Great value for the price. Very cordial staffs. The hotel also provides bus tickets to Pokhara as well as money exchanger with good value. The location is really good, being located in the lively area of Thamel. The bus counter for Pokhara is also within a short distance from the hotel.

Barking dogs at night Loud crows at night Some loud door slamming during night. Immediate street (kaldhara?) Was hard to walk because of scooter traffic, so be alert no sidewalks .

Staff great , easily walkable (once you learn area) To Durbar Sq and even swayambhunath Very nice rooftop area with seats. HOT SHOWER WAS AWESOME. Walk out to main street ,make a left and there is a money exchange on left side ,she was great and hardly any fee.

Good team, owner's careful with guests and take regular feedbacks so he can handle any problems that could happen. The room was clean and neat, comfortable bed and constant hot water. Chill place with almost no noise except some dogs barking and birds singing. Definitely recommending this hotel for a great stay.

Nice central location in Thamel, the staff are all very friendly and helpful! The rooms are good, a bit basic, but with many facilities. We stayed here multiple times throughout our time in Nepal and every time our stay here was good. The roof terrace is definitely a nice bonus! They helped us book bus tickets and allowed us to store luggage for a long period of time. Thanks

Nice quiet location yet central to all sites within walking distance. Some may want to take taxi but the reception or owner will tell you app etc to use. Very friendly staff. Ask them and they will help. I had a very good rest every night.

Room is spacious and clean, located in the center but no outside noise. Shower is hot and there are towels provided. Wifi is good and there is also a watercooker, soap and toothbrushes. Beds are very comfortable and its probably the best hotel when it comes to price / quality. Staff is friendly and helpfull and you can also leave your stuff if you go for trekking and pick it up later. Would definitely recommend this! 10/10

The hospitality we received was amazing. When we got there the owner said he treats the guest like family and he did that exactly what he said. The owner was helpful in every single way possible. We there with our full family. My parents liked it. We felt like we are staying at home. All the facilities were really great. Great location. Easy to get anywhere from the hotel. The staff were were really wonderful. Those boys were polite, respectful. Very helpful. They are studying and working at the same time which is amazing. This is a basic, clean property so don’t expect the Hilton . But the staff are great it’s clean and comfy and bottled water is free so you can fill up before you go off on adventures.

It’s a great location. Off a side street away from the noise with a fantastic view from the top. And most guide tours will pick up from here
