If i have had stayed longer than one night, i would have missed a cozy common area.

I stayed for one night in one of the cottages of trekkers inn. After arrival I was warmly greeted with tea at their local tea shop along main street. As the stay is a bit off the road and i arrived when it already got dark, Kishor, the host, was so friendly and gave me a lift with his motorbike, from his tea shop to their house. The rooms are furnished simple. Once i opened the window, i could see the family's garden and if weather had been clear i would have had an amazing view, i am sure. The homestay is located among other traditional village houses. 2,1 km away from nagarkot center/market. 3,4 km from survey tower (which was closed) but you can get view from the spot itself. The balcony (see pics from owner) is private, but you can take the ladder up on a open rooftop for getting view or chilling. We ate traditional dal bhat together in the evening. Next day i had a small breakfast at the tea shop, as is usual with the locals. Kishor prepared simple porridge with banana for me, as i don't like doughnuts.

I am very sure the food will make Your belly very happy. You can take a lunch at Kishor’s and Manju shop if you want to enjoy Your stay without walking to the local village. Kishor and Manju are focused on sharing the most from the warm-hearted Nepali culture with its guests. There are several attractions around the place You can visit either by walk or by bike with Kishor. He is offering all range of adventures to be experienced together. I spent a great time with Kishor. He guided me to the nearby Nagarkot Zipline and one of the longest suspension bridges. Just below it, and there is a beautiful waterfall underneath worthy to visit especially in the warm days. Kishor has guided me with passion to some of the local temples in Bhaktapur and its surroundings. He also offered me the paragliding, so sky is the limit here. Kishor will try to make Your dreams come true if You speak them out. I want to mention one more thing which is very important for me as one of my leading principles is “Sharing is caring”. Kishor and Manju or not only helping its guests, but their are actively helping the local community. They are helping local kids to get appropriate school equipment and to be decently dressed. Also they are supporting elderly and poor members of community. Spending time with them, providing the basic goods and medication. There are also lot of public workers working on different constructions around Nagarkot. These people work in harsh conditions and are not appropriately paid. Kishor and Manju are trying to make their life better by providing them warm clothes. All these activities are expression of good hearth and deep will to selflessly help the community they are part of. Once You arrive, you can become part of the community as well. If You are going to visit Nepal for the first time, please ask yourself what experience You want to get from Nepal. If You are looking for the authentic and heartwarming experience - go for Nagarkot Trekkers Inn!

When I arrived to Nagarkot Trekkers Inn I was truly impressed. Location, facilities and warm welcome by lovely couple running the business - Kishor and his wife Manju. Nagarkot Trekkers Inn is one of the few places I have so far visited which deserves to be called as Heaven on Earth. Hotel has beautiful combination of things. Great location with stunning view to the Himalayas. Very authentic and cosy typical Nepali dwellings with the right equipment for Your deeply enjoyable stay. Comfortable bed, a desk with chair and small nice cabinet is all You need. Kishor and Manju are exceptional hosts. They make You immediately feel like at home. Sharing all the resources they do have available including the organic products of their garden. Hotel is equipped with western style toilet, so You don’t need to worry about the hole. :) But please be aware to not throw the toilet paper to the toilet and use the bin next to the toilet instead. Kishor has recently build a very modern shower allowing female travelers to do all the beauty stuff as You feel up to. :)) Hotel is digital nomad ready as Kishor and Mandu are doing their best to provide as high quality service as possible. There is a fiber connection in the hotel providing speed up to 400 Mbps, which is exceptional for the location. Ready for regular remote workers and video content maker requiring high-speed Internet connection. Another highlight of my stay are the exceptional meals You aree getting served every morning and evening. I have truly enjoyed (not only!) the flavorful Dal Bhat with variety of fresh organic vegetables. If You are a meat eater, You can enjoy some meat as well. Kishor and Manju are both great chefs as they are running their own shop on the main road above the hotel. They are very flexible in regards of the food they serve. You can enjoy variety from fresh fruits and vegetables over local bakery and samosa to Dal Bhat, Momo and other goodies.

    Nothing! :)

A hidden haven carved into the hillside—this homestay offered me something rare: stillness, friendship, and a breath of nature untouched by the noise of the city. Just far enough from the madness of Kathmandu, yet close enough to feel its pulse fading with each hour, I found space here—to rest, to laugh, to return to myself. The dinners were some of the most honest and nourishing I’ve had on my travels—homegrown, homemade, and always served with heart and a smile. The soundscape? Pure nature. Birds, breeze, and quiet. No horns, no chaos. Just peace. This isn’t just a guesthouse—it’s a home, lovingly built by a kind and hardworking husband and wife. You feel their warmth in everything: the food, the care, the land, the way they make you feel like you belong. If you’re searching for a place to soften, to exhale, to remember what matters—come here.

My stay at Nagarkot Trekkers Inn was nothing short of magical. If you're looking for the perfect place to witness the majestic beauty of the Himalayas, look no further. From the moment I arrived, I was treated warmly by the owner. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. The main highlight, of course, was the view. Waking up to a panoramic vista of the snow-capped Himalayan range was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is perfectly positioned to offer some of the best views in Nagarkot, right from my room's window! The room itself was clean, with two beds, a desk, and a fast internet connection. The breakfast and Dal Bhat were also delicious, offering a wonderful taste of local Nepali cuisine that was both hearty and flavorful. Nagarkot Trekkers Inn offers an authentic and heartwarming experience with a fantastic view. Highly recommended!

One small downside: we noticed a few cigarette butts near the garden. If you smoke, please be mindful—cigarette waste can release heavy metals into the soil, which may be absorbed by the vegetables. Also, be sure to take your trash with you; otherwise, it might be burned or end up scattered in nature.

Trekkers Inn is a peaceful retreat accessible by local bus from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot (around 75 rupees). From the bus stop, the owner arranged for a motorcycle pickup and brought us to the main road leading to his home. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk. The location offers a stunning view across the valley. Since it faces away from the Kathmandu Valley and towards the Everest side, I imagine the air quality is fresher. A charming vegetable garden surrounds the house, adding to the peaceful, rural vibe. Accommodation is simple but more than adequate. The toilet and shower are located outside, but everything was clean and functional. Dinner was definitely a highlight—especially the fresh, homegrown vegetables. We were genuinely happy with the food! One day, they kindly let us cook some vegetables we had brought along ourselves. We also had the chance to do a big load of laundry by hand, which was really helpful during our stay. The owner is extremely friendly and shared a lot about his life and the area. His wife was more reserved and didn’t speak much, but she worked incredibly hard from morning till evening. We left Nagarkot by booking an InDrive from the town center. A local taxi driver quoted us 3,500 rupees for the trip to Thamel in Kathmandu. However, an InDrive driver initially accepted 1,600 rupees through the app but later started asking for a higher fare via chat. After some negotiation, we ended up paying 2,500 rupees.

Serene and rural life in the cliffside of Nargakot. Facilities including WiFi, hot shower, clean toilet, organic food and comfortable beds made the place perfect. The room was a little dusty and the surfaces could do with a clean. The whole time I was there there was a really big push from the owner to leave a good review. I understand reviews are important but it was brought up so frequently it made me feel a bit uncomfortable and like that everything he was doing was for the review which overshadowed the authentic homestay feeling. There was also a time where we were invited for tea at the shop after coming back from a walk. We were charged for the tea. I’m always happy to pay and it’s not much (only 20 rupees) however I think if you invite someone whose a guest it should be made clearer that it’s not included in the homestay cost just to avoid any confusion. (Or if you’re a guest maybe best just to double check!)

For a budget option in Nagakot Trekkers Inn is perfect. It’s about a 20-30 min walk from the main town but the stunning view more than makes up for it. The local breakfast and dinner were very nice and grown in the owners garden. They have also recently installed a western toilet and a shower with warm water. It does get cold at night but there is a small heater in the room and also extra blankets. The heater isn’t super strong so maybe something to consider if you are visiting in the winter time.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Trekkers Inn is a very relaxing place to be. Such good value for money. It has everything included: wifi, hot shower, new western style toilet, warm blankets and very friendly owners who make you feel like part of the family straight away. The dinner is delicious too using all ingredients from the garden and breakfast was filling and tasty. The view from the window is beautiful and you can go up to the rooftop to see the sunrise and it’s a great place to do yoga too. Dai also lent me a mat so I could do yoga up there. You can also get to the view tower easily. Couldn’t recommend highly enough if you’re looking for a peaceful, local experience.

Leaving this wonderful place is so heavy. I wish I could stay longer.

It was just a random decision to book a stay in Nagarkot for my last few days of stay in Nepal. Luckily, I found this homestay. The owner is very responsive to all of the queries i had and instructed me how to get to their location from Kathmandu. So it is roughly around 1.5hrs from Bakhtapur to the last bus stop in Nagarkot. From there, the owner is already waiting for me to pick me up on his motorbike. We them stopped by their local store to have some tea and met his lovely wife. The homestay is located around 10mins away from the main road by motorbike and in this alone, I already had a wonderful view of the himalayas. I stayed in a room with 1single bed and 1double bed with a nice sunrise view from my window. It is a shared toilet and bath which is decent and clean. Hot shower is also available. Surprisingly very good wifi connection everywhere within the property. The family has their own garden where they grow their own organic crops. Imagine how will be your meals during your stay. I super love the meals they prepared for me. Mr. KISHOR also arranges trekking tours, day trips, day tours, nature activities. He will give you all the details you need and give you the best prices possible. I ended up roaming around the vicinity with him on his motorbike and it was another great experience for me. We visited some key places such as the suspension bridge, Buddha Peace Park, Nagarkot View Point at sunset, and some other spots for taking great photos. To sum it up, 5⭐️ location, room, food, ambiance, view, activities, and most especially, top-notch hospitality from the family. They made sure that I had a great stay with them not just as a Guest, but as a Family as well. All the best NAGARKOT TREKKERS INN HOMESTAY! See you again soonest!😍

Lovely locatlon outside the village, perfect for sunrise and sunset. Experienced family business, with nice home-grown food, and simple, authentic facilliies. It provides a fascinating look at Nepali daily life. Echoing others' advice: the homestay is approached off main road down a steep rocky track. Fine for well-clad frekkers, arriving in daylight! Otherwise host might offer to meet you at his roadside shop, with his motorbike. If arriving by taxi, you may have to budget an extra 100 - 200 rupees for driver to take you down the track. Well worth it to stay in that location.
