MexicoThe guys at the reception were really warm and welcoming. Going above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. I had a flight early morning and they’ve made me a small breakfast to bring to the airport. Aayush helpend me out with my phone and getting a taxi. My room was on the first floor and perfect for the night before catching my flight. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for great hospitality and being in the middle of the center without having the noise! Thanks guys!! 🙏🏼

UkraineI really enjoyed my stay at Maya. The room was spacious, and the location is excellent. Although the hotel is right in the city center, it’s tucked away on a quiet side street, so it’s peaceful at night—much better than another hotel I stayed at in Thamel. The staff is 10/10. Aayush was especially helpful—he made sure I woke up for my early flight and even packed a lunch for me to take. The only thing I’d suggest improving is the bathroom, which could use a bit of a refresh. Other than that, everything was perfect—10/10.

IndiaIt wasn't a problem for me at all, but highlighting this only so that ones reading this review will know. The hotel doesn't have a lift. The staff helped move my luggage, and I don't mind climbing stairs.
The room on the fifth floor is a treat. The huge balcony (photo uploaded), the view, the cleanliness... everything about it is worth appreciating. The staff is even better. A special shout out to Aayush. A gem of a person. Although in a small lane, the location is also a big plus. Walk a few metres and you are in the best part of Thamel - which is the best hangout place of Kathmandu. This area has so many great dens, that I used to travel every evening to Thamel from another part of the city where I was put up for the rest of my stay. Highly recommend going to Graveaty restaurant, which is right opposite this hotel. Tonnes of good restaurants and cafes around this place, including LOD (recommend). The breakfast at the hotel is also nice. I enjoyed it over a chat with Aayush as we watched an IPL (cricket) match highlights.

The location is perfect close to all amenities that you need before setting out on a trek. Within few minutes walk you can exchange money, find shops and restaurants in Thamel. The street is very quiet and you can sleep well here. The room is big with a clean bathroom, very luxurious in Kathmandu. The staff is super helpful , they helped me booking the flight to Lukla and when it was cancelled on the day , they proactively organised my ticket onto a helicopter. I can highly recommend Maya Boutique Hotel for comfort, a good night sleep and for exceptional service.

United StatesHmmm not much that I didn't like. the hotel is located at a location where you would not find traffic or noise. Great restaurants around the hotel. Even if they do not have facilities for lunch and dinner, but there are other places just around the corner.
Surendra and Ayush are great team. They and their entire batch goes beyond their limit to make your stay flawless. They took extra milage to make our stay relaxed and peaceful on our ongoing journey to Pokhara and Nagarkot. The room was clean as promises in the booking. They offer a reasonably good breakfast for guests. Super caring staff. If you book you would not regret!

The beds were also very comfortable and all amenities were provided for including towels and toiletries. Note that the hot water takes a while to get warm so you just have to leave it on for a few minutes for it to get hot. Breakfast was decent.

We told the staff day before and they packed us breakfast to go. 2nd day we left at 6:30 am. They opened the kitchen one hour early so we could eat breakfast before we left. Truly remarkable service.
