Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPros: 1. Very very helpful staff. Nikesh bhai and other staffs were all helpful and welcoming! They were always kind to let me in the hotel around late ( 10-11pm), once I make a call via phone. 2. Room was spacious and I liked the hot water facility (which does take a few mins to come and that is normal). The water from the shower had decent force unlike some hotels. 3. I didn't have breakfast here as I had early meetings with friends. But I have heard good reviews about the food here! Cons: 1. I would say that if you are a late night sleeper/jet lagged then I wouldn't suggest this particular room of the hotel. As this room is right next to a temple(which looks really good at night) where local people tend to ring the bells (bigger and small) as they do their daily worship. 2. There are some stray dogs around so be careful at late night. I was barked at and sort of attacked by one while I waited outside to let me in the hotel. No need to feel afraid though, these dogs are just noisy, curious, and not that aggressive. During the moment I just stood there and didn't move when a dog came barking at me. The dog just sniffed me and went away. 3. The bikes on the street can be noisy sometimes. Overall, I must say it was a good stay in a cheap bargain. I would suggest this place If you would like to have taste of how local people stay here in Patan day-to-day and also to have go with their Newari dishes on their menu. Also, the place location is great as you are in the heart of Mangalbazaar near Patan Durbar Square. That means you are a right place for roaming around Patan.

AustraliaThe layout of utilities in the room can be better and more functional.
Staff and owners are kind, caring, personable and very helpful. I was treated like a family member, and they always made themselves available when I needed help. They are some of the kindest people i have met. Comfy warm bed and spacious bathroom.

AustraliaThe room was a bit cold due to the winter time and the room could have been checked a little bit more often (toilet paper/water refill) but it's small details.
The staff was really nice and responsive! Always available when we needed, will definitely recommend. Breakfast was great! And the location is ideal if you want to enjoy Patan and its surrounding.

The hotel is located nearby airport. The historical and cultural aspect of the area makes the stay interesting. The staff members go beyond their duties to help you. They were amazing!

MexicoThe street is noisy but remains quiet enough time to get a good rest at night. We were awakaned very early in the morning by the ring of a bell from a little temple right outside the hotel, but it was interesting though to observe people stop by and ring the bell on their way to daily activity. The toilet could be more clean and it would be more comfortable if the shower had a courtain or something to avoid getting the whole bathroom wet when taking a shower.
The staff is very kind, helpful and smiley, specially the boy who served breakfast. Breakfast had some nepali style food and was very good and abundant. We had bottled water to drink everyday in our room. There was hot water in the shower all day. We had opportunity to see authentic traditional celebrations with music, dances and women cooking in the street all around the neighborhood (we visited on christmas and new year). We could visit many interesting places by walking, but also the staff helped us to get a taxi at a good cost (getting it ourselves in the street was more expensive). The hosts are really warm people and they offer a good service at a good cost.

PolandGets a little bit noisy early in the early morning because of the traffic from the main street
Very spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, kind hosts and overall very good vibes. We felt very welcome and were able to chill and relax. Location was perfect, short walking distance to Patan's Durbar Square and even to Pashupatinath temple. Lots of very good food options around, shops, cafés etc

AustriaWe could not think of anything we did not like.
A hidden gem and the place to be if you are staying in the Kathmandu area. When we found this place on booking we were surprised. Such a nice room just next to the main sight of Patan for a reasonable price. Can that be possible? It is and we were so lucky that we extended our stay. The owners are very welcoming and the room is super cosy and very clean. We would definitely come again.

ThailandHonestly, there is nothing about this place I didnt like. But the only issue is if you are a light sleeper the vehicles that pass by can be a problem. I never addressed the issue to them because I'm not bothered by it. Infact the owner of the place even offered me ear plugs if I needed it. Which to me says so much about there hospitality than the noise from outside. I didnt regret staying in this place at all. Lovely staff. 😊
Everything about this place I love. The location was perfect it's close by the temples and also has a temple besides it. The breakfast that was served every morning was also good. The staff were very nice and polite and would try to find solution to your problem. The rooms were for me very cozy.

JapanOne window has no glass or net, so mosquitos and outside noise come in freely. See the photo. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. All humidity come into the beadroom. No AC in the room, so the room can get very humid when it rains or after using shower. No power outlet near the bed and not enough outlet in the room. If you use the fan and mosquito vaper, there is no more available. The hotel provides ear plugs knowing that people ring the big bell on the street 2meters away. But those ear plugs were not good enough. I woke up multiple tomes in early morning. I recommend you stay one day to see if you like this hotel or not. I woUld choose others next time.
Clean hotel. Good hotel staff. Good location. Price not too bad.
