I wished thier will be some extra fan, that was a con for me.

Although this is a share bases room, and i have been here on off season. Thier is only one person i shared the room with. Washroom is clean, water is both hot and cool, wifi is okay, mineral water at basment, all things are good. Thanks to ajay for his Service.

Very convenient location and amazing service, I reached the location at 4:30 in the morning, and the staff escorted me to my room. The rooms were pretty clean and the place was surprisingly calm for a hostel of its size, it was not hectic at all

The staff at Alobar are amazing and the rooms were great and clean. Only cons is that the bathroom was pretty smelly/damp (although they often are in Nepal) and the pool is so cold that you can’t swim in it.

Beautiful place, nice staff, helping for everything, confortables beds, different rooftops and place to stay and chill. You can do some yoga on the rooftop. Food is nice (crêpe breakfast was sooo good! 😋). You can fill your bottle of water. Really worth it for the price ! The swimmingpool looks amazing but I haven't been, maybe next time 🤩

I really enjoyed my stay at Alobar1000. It is a good retreat in Thamel to relax and plan the rest of the trip in Nepal. All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

We also enjoyed playing air hockey and table football Quiet location but right in Thamel We stayed in a dorm room and private room another time, both were great. The private room was particularly amazing for its price ! The whole place is super clean and well maintained

I felt very comfortable and welcomed from the moment I arrived at Alobar1000! The staff are very friendly and helpful and even carried my heavy backpack up the stairs to my room for me. The private room at Alobar1000 is very large and clean and I loved the bay window overlooking the pool with a loveseat. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows and comforter are so soft and very high quality, which was unexpected (it reminded me of an expensive hotel room in the States). The bathroom is also very large and clean and I had plenty of hot water for showers as well as nice towels and soaps provided to use. I'll definitely return to Alobar1000 and really enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend staying here as you're going to love it!!!

It takes about 8 mnts for hot water to start flowing. Once it starts, it's all good but I felt like I was wasting water 😅

Very relaxed atmosphere. I went there during off peak season so the restaurant/bar was empty but it seemed like a fun spot to hang!

We came to Alobar Hostel twice during our stay in Nepal and really enjoyed it. The private rooms (which we stayed in twice) are very spacious, well equipped, clean and had everything we needed. The staff was super helpful and friendly, supported us with taxi bookings and were happy to answer all the questions we had. The location of Alobar is perfect, in the middle of Thamel with a lot of restaurants, cafes, shops and things to see around the corner. I can wholeheartedly recommend it as a great place to stay in Kathmandu.

Not really a big deal but there is no light in the bed to read.

Excellent accommodation for the value of money. The staff are very well behaved, nice cozy restaurant, the Milk chai was the best Chai in Nepal for me.

The hostel has a chill vibe. There are multiple hangout areas, and a cafe with good coffee. The reception and the cleaning staff is quite friendly. I have been staying here for a couple of weeks and most days have been quite pleasant. Occasionally, there are some guests leaving early in the morning which is a but inconvenient, but overall a great place to stay in Kathmandu.
