Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe staff accommodated my very early arrival and were generally there whenever I needed anything including a ride to the bus station. The location is also really good if you want to see the real Pokhara and not the touristy parts.

United KingdomThis is a fabulous guesthouse. There is nothing negative I can say. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The rooms are comfortable. There are lovely spacious areas. It’s lovely and quiet. We love that it’s outside the main tourist area of Lakeside where the air quality on our visit has been very poor. Finally the staff, Kopila, the manager and Puja in housekeeping are amazing. My friend and I feel like part of the family. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend Hope Guesthouse. It’s fantastic value for money. We are going to miss you.

United KingdomAlthough slightly further out from Lakeside than we originally thought, our stay at Hope Guest House was amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful and Kopila is worth6 if special mention. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was extremely helpful and polite. The breakfast were excellent. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed iur time at Hope Guest House. Highly Recommended!!

Germany• The terrace has no lighting and the chairs are uncomfortable; there are no tables, so it’s basically unusable. • The same goes for the garden—there are no tables or chairs there either. • The biggest issue was the presence of a large group of children, like a school camp. They were singing, talking loudly, and even playing the piano. Unfortunately, it’s not really compatible to host such a group alongside guests on vacation. • The location is actually quite far—about 6 km from Lakeside—which meant we had to take a lot of taxis and buses. • That’s my mistake, as it is stated in the description, but it’s also filtered as being 1 km from the center, which I found misleading. Sadly, it’s far from all main points of interest. • The house itself is really nice, but it could use more care and maintenance. • The staff is excellent—we even did some laundry, and I really appreciated that they covered the cost of the taxi to the bus station on our last day to make up for the disruption caused by the children. That definitely helped make up for it.
The staff is really friendly, always available, and ready to solve any problem! This is the real strength of the place!
