Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandWow, what a nice place! Thank you guys so much! I really enjoyed staying at your farm (it’s now my number one recommendation to everyone I meet that wants to discover Nepal) Don’t miss out going there! If you love eating incredibly delicious food, are interested in permaculture and love to be surrounded by lovely people you will definitely find them there. I really pay big respect for what you guys do, I think it’s so important that we take care of our nature and spread the knowledge on how to do it. Hopefully see you guys again someday.

We eat, learn and sharing lots of things together. It’s a family with the most love I’ve ever seen. ThailandThere are mosquitoes here, but just ask for a mosquito repellent plug or a net for your room. You will be able to sleep through the night just fine.
I love the family atmosphere here. The family is very friendly and hospitable. They have received guests from many different countries and truly know how to make you feel at home. Also as a vegetarian, it’s amazing to have fresh vegetables from their own farm daily—farm to table. It’s simple here but you can get all the basics you need. Hot water, Wi-Fi, healthy food, and the feeling of home away from home :)

IndiaI visited Hasera two years after attending a permaculture course they led near Santiniketan in Bengal. I was so impressed by their patience and clarity, apart from their knowledge, that I wanted to see what the source of this energy was. Hasera is a 30+ year commitment to a principled way of living in harmony with the land. Despite hosting grateful travellers from 120+ countries and holding numerous workshops and trainings for all sorts of organisations and farmers, they are committed to living within the means of the farm to set a tangible and believable example for farmers all over Nepal. I did not take too many pictures because i was so immersed in the experience. The entire family lives, works, cooks and celebrates together - and you are invited into their hearth and hearts. Every meal is unique with almost all ingredients sourced directly from the farm, or sourced from farmers and food processors that value organic farming and preserving nutrition. There is a lot to love here. The amazing view of the paanch khaal valley and the hills beyond, and the snowy peaks even further on (on clear days). The dog, the goats, the cow, the chickens. But I will hold this place special because of the good energy here - both of the hosts and the type of travellers you meet here. Every person I met gave me something to learn and live by. Hope to see you here at some point, I know I will keep revisiting Hasera every time I'm in Nepal. Love, metta and energy to you 🙏🏾🪷✨

I have no words to describe the heart and warmth of this amazing family. Everything was at the highest level – the rooms, the cleanliness, the food, and most of all, the people. I enjoyed every moment with them. I highly recommend coming here to escape the noise of central Kathmandu, experience a beautiful way of life, and learn so much from them. I’m sure I’ll be back to stay again.

CanadaI loved that the bathroom facilities were simple and outside, but that’s something people might want to know. It is just off a main road so if you are really sensitive to noise it’s also something to be aware of :)
The host family is a living example of permaculture - from the way they manage their land to how they welcome their guests and invite them into daily life. It is a very nourishing place to stay and connect to the local organic farming community of Nepal. I stayed for 10 days and loved helping out a little in the garden. I am so grateful for their kind and generous hospitality - I almost didn’t want to leave! They really felt like family. Perhaps I’ll come back and do the permaculture design course another time…

IsraelFrom the moment we arrived, we felt calm and at ease – the atmosphere is simply magical. The family who runs the place are amazing, warm-hearted people who made us feel like part of their community in no time. The food was excellent – all organic, fresh, and straight from their own fields. It’s the perfect combination of relaxing, enjoying the beautiful scenery, connecting with nature, and also having the chance to learn and help out on the farm. A truly special experience – I highly recommend it, and suggest planning to stay for a few days to really take it all in.

Netherlands-
My first days in Nepal couldn't have been more special. At Hasera Farmstay, I was warmly welcomed by Bigyan and his wonderful family. I found peace here, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the farm, the nearby villages, and the monastery. Every meal was shared with the family and made entirely from organic, homegrown produce. Being able to contribute a little to this by helping out in the garden and milking the cows made the experience even more complete. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

IndiaWith beautiful views, the most delicious home-cooked meals, and the sweetest family making you feel at home as soon as you arrive, we had the best time at Hasera Farm! After spending a month in the city, we wanted a break and some time in nature, and this was a nice getaway. They have great wifi and plenty of tables on the property for working. We enjoyed walking around the farm and visiting the nearby town. We also pet the goats and their sweet dog. Overall, we had a lovely time, wish we could've stayed longer, and can't wait to go back one day! :)
