From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Khem, the manager, and the entire team were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hostel itself has great facilities, and our room was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the delicious continental breakfast—a great way to start the day! The location is ideal—close enough to Thamel for convenience, yet tucked away in a peaceful and quiet area, giving us the best of both worlds. Our only regret is that we couldn’t go on a trek with LB, the in-house guide, who was so kind and knowledgeable—next time for sure! If you’re looking for a homely, well-run hostel with warm hospitality in Kathmandu, Elbrus Home is the place to stay. The place is well located in Thamel and near many restaurants, cafe etc. The breakfast it is usually included and it is composed by tea/coffe, egg, white bread with jam/honey and juice. If you are looking for a guide to go trekking they will organize it for you.

The only con is very slow spotty internet. We stayed in the second building this time and the wifi could be improved.

Elbrus home is fantastic. This was our second stay and I would highly recommend! The beds are comfortable, the shower is hot with good pressure and it's great having breakfast in the morning. It is also super close to Thamel.

Very nice and cozy hostel, made with a lot of love, super cozy beds and a bright room, lots of possibilities to hang out on the different terraces and the garden, the staff was super friendly and always helping you out with tours. I definitely recommend this place

We LOVED our time staying in Elbrus Home. During our 3 month stay in Nepal, we stayed here multiple times in between treks, or visiting various parts of the country. It felt like our home away from home. Incredible value with a great breakfast every morning. Super quiet rooms and comfortable bed. Only 2 minute walk to Thamel. And an amazing restaurant next door (Panas Cafe - great local food at amazing prices). Nice outdoor seating/common area. Free luggage storage was super helpful too. We will 100% stay here again the next time we are visiting Nepal. Thank you!

Stayed for 2 nights and will be staying there again after trekking. Room was very comfortable, breakfast excellent, staff very helpful. I also liked the location, only 5 min from Thamel with a great garden. Looking forward to my next stay.

Over the two months we stayed in Nepal, we always made sure to book ahead to get into Elbrus Home. The staff were always super kind and helpful with organizing taxis and buses for trekking and general sightseeing. They let you store your belongings for free which is perfect for treks. The breakfast is super yummy and SO fast. The location is ideal since it’s a tiny bit away from the chaos of Thamel but still so close (5 min walk). There is a yummy momo place down the road (RK Momo). The rooms were always great with exceptionally comfortable beds and nice heavy duvets.

We had a wonderful stay at Elbrus home. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. They were really kind letting us leave our kit and bike boxes in their storage room for a couple of weeks whilst we head elsewhere. The breakfast every morning was delicious! Would really recommend!

The location is excellent (just a minute walk to thamel), rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is consistent and good. Free luagge storage. We've stayed here at least 3 times now and would highly recommend it.

The staff was really helpful. They arranged transport & were always at place. I liked everything at the hotel:)) It's near the popular tourist district - Thamel. It's got a great view from the roof terrace onto Kathmandu :)) You can get tasty breakfasts prepared for you ( you can choose what you want) Can reccomend it fully :))

This was my second stay at Elbrus Home, and I loved both visits! The owner is amazing and kind, always available to help out with a smile. The facilities are great, the house has a nice atmosphere and full of other travelers/backpackers, and it is exceptional value for the money. Location is ideal, walkable to the main tourist area and many other sights. I am sure I will be back again on my next visit to Nepal :)
