It is not a brand-new hotel, just keep that in mind. The rest is fine.

Internet was really bad I had it only if I was sitting on the bed. I had to go to seat in the lobby to have good connection. Sometimes the staff was really friendly at the front desk and other staff members were somehow distancing. Everyone else was really nice and helpful.

The inner garden was very quiet and green perfect for relaxation and to get some work done.

No minibar. The room mirror and TV placement aren't in the correct position which is why it is difficult to see the TV. One bed light was missing.

The room was clean, spacious and well-appointed. The room was a city view. The washroom was clean. Comfortable bed. The hotel’s location in Thamel, one of the most vibrant and tourist-friendly areas of Kathmandu, is a significant advantage. Quiet room. This hotel has a lift. I got a free airport drop-off service. Good buffet breakfast with a variety of Nepali/Indian dishes and a choice of English breakfast.

Only one electrical outlet worked. Shower is in a tub, might be difficult to get in and out of for a short person. Could use some darker curtains, gets pretty light in the am. All trivial things though, would definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely phenomenal staff. Always smiling, always friendly, always helpful. Breakfast selection was good. Drivers available, walking distance to Thamel, without being in the middle of the chaos. Room was large.

Would have liked a mini fridge and some items a little out dated but expected for the price paid and as per pictures. Nothing that put me off.

I didn't end up using the balcony much because of all the pigeon droppings. The room shows signs of wear, and is in need of upkeep - also, some places that have been repaired don't match, such as the trimming along the floor. Hallway noise can be disruptive, such as when a family stayed next door and the kids were running in the hall knocking on each other's doors. Note that the front desk staff here inevitably, each time I've been here (this was my third time), will try to overcharge for transport. You can talk them down to a more reasonable price, but it's a bit tiresome and rubs me the wrong way.

Relatively spacious, quiet location. Most of the staff are quite friendly. Reasonable price for what you get. Hotel grounds are safe and comfortable.

Love the breakfast and the fact that the hotel has a lift. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Room has all the basic needs, except for the power of hair dryer being too weak (it was blow like no blow hair situation 😅). Overall, love the stay. Will stay again if I ever return to Nepal.

My family had a very pleasant stay at Dom Himalaya. The hotel is strategically located at Thamel, one of the busiest places of Kathmandu. The room, the reception area etc was well maintained. Also they helped us with our local sight seeing.
