Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Spain- it's terribly loud. First, the pujas by the Stupa at 6:30 every morning. Second, if there is any festival, you might get stuck and not being able to reach the hotel. But any festival is loud from early in the morning till late at night. I almost couldn't sleep the days I stayed there - All the rooms have windows to the inner corridor, not to the Stupa. But that's the same for all the hotels around the Stupa.
- Very good location - Great breakfast on top of the hotel with great views to the Stupa

Hungary- Bathroom floor is made of slippery tiles, no bath mat or handrails - Rubber slippers are provided in the room, but half the size of a European man foot size - When the wet tile floor gets covered by soap foam you may have a big fall in the bathroom
- Exceptional location right in from of Boudhnath Stupa - Kind, friendly and attentive reception staff - Amazing terrace overlooking the stupa - Rooms updated and modern - Clean facilities all over - Great value for money and I had a memorable stay

United StatesA little too much noise because my room was located close to the stairwell to the upper floors and restaurant. The problem wasn’t the stairwell. The problem is inconsiderate, noisy people. Once the restaurant closes and people leave (by 9:30 PM) it quiets down a lot. Lighting in the room needs be improved. Several light bulbs were broken or missing, too. Often the door key wouldn’t work and I had to try and try again. Hotel should do more upkeep and maintenance of facilities. I also dislike the fact that in Nepal people can smoke in outdoor restaurants. Restaurants should prohibit this. Given all the above, I would stay here again. The plusses - cost, location, friendly and helpful staff - far outweigh the inconveniences.
Great location and staff! Adequate breakfast.

TaiwanThe facilities are quite basic, and in a little rough shape. Of the two fans in the room, one didn't work (although the motor was running, the fan blades didn't turn - I shut it off so the motor wouldn't break), and the one that did work could only point downward. It was ok because I found it a comfortable temperature without them, but it is something that needs attention.
Fantastic location, right at Boudha Stupa. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even helping to pick me up from the airport quite late (thank you!) and getting breakfast ready for me a bit early. Great hot water in the shower!

NepalI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Boudha Stupa View Guest House, and it was a wonderful experience that truly catered to the needs of a slow traveler. Nestled in the heart of Boudhanath, this guest house offers stunning views of the iconic stupa, which makes it an ideal spot for those looking to soak in the spiritual ambiance of the area. Atmosphere: From the moment I arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor pays homage to Tibetan culture, which adds to the charm of the place. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast on the terrace or sipping tea in the cozy common area, the views of Boudhanath create a serene backdrop that enhances the experience of any slow traveler. Accommodations: The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with many offering balconies that overlook the stupa. I particularly appreciated the natural light and the simplicity of the furnishings, which reflect a sense of tranquility. The tucked-away nature of the guest house allowed for a peaceful stay, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and take their time exploring. Food: The on-site restaurant serves delicious local dishes as well as international cuisine, all prepared with fresh ingredients. Breakfast, which included options like traditional Tibetan bread and fresh fruit, was a delightful way to start my days. Eating while enjoying the view of the stupa was a highlight of my stay. Location: The location is unbeatable for those interested in culture and spirituality. The guest house is just a short walk from Boudhanath Stupa, where you can easily spend hours wandering the area, observing the prayer wheels, and soaking in the atmosphere. It's also a great base for exploring nearby attractions at a leisurely pace. Service: The staff at Boudha Stupa View Guest House were incredibly friendly and attentive. They were always available to offer recommendations for activities and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

PolandSome neighbours, probably Chinese were disturbing. on the check out day, a guest, I guess, a Russian really got into my nerves by approaching us to complain that we’re talking loudly at 7:30am complaining. Hope that such people don’t come across during my or other guest’s stay in the future.
The. Boudha stupa view from rooftop at any time of the day was exceptionally nice. The staff were kind and generous, amongst whom, specially Mr Amrit and Anurut made my stay homely and comfortable.
