This hostel has good, clean simple rooms for a family of 4-5, perfect for a short stay. The included breakfast was very good. Property was nice and in a solid location. Seasonal restaurant had good food for dinner.

Spartan white tile bathroom without a shower stall, sprays water everywhere, then you have to wipe it with a shower cleaner (or whatever this thing is called).

Even though it is a hostel, we actually stayed in a room with 2 double bunks and a separate twin bed, with our own bathroom. Location is great, value was good. Breakfast was just excellent! Had to pay a bit extra, like 9-10 euros or something like that. They allow you to pack anything you want from breakfast and take with you for an extra charge. Free parking,. Nice staff. Clean, relatively quiet.

The bathroom is not comfortable at all. The wather does not go down, the sinkhole is not in the deepest point of the floor. It was a pool after having a shower. There is not mirror and plug, so the hair drying is very difficult.

The position of the hostel is beautiful. The social rooms are nice and usefull. The breakfast is super, everybody can find their favourite food.

The shower area is poorly designed; there is not much space to shower in, and the floor doesn't drain properly. The decor is basic in the rooms and corridors. The restaurant food, whilst good, was very overpriced.

The room was basic but comfortable. Rooms require a bit of a refresh/ paint and new curtains would make a big difference.

Friendly and welcoming, good quality food, good facilities. Breakfast was fabulous and we also had the evening meal which was delicious. We didn’t use the kitchen but could see slit of people using this. We enjoyed our stay.

In the bathroom it wasn’t a closed shower. It was only one night and we took a shower at the same hour so it wasn’t too bad but if it wasn’t the case I think it wouldn’t be very comfortable.

Good evening meal sitting on terrace in sunshine overlooking the lake where had swum earlier. Library had Mary Wollstonecraft in Norwegian.

Room is a bit small for 5 people, and the bathroom is tight with no place to keep your things. The only ventilation is the window, but then the infamous summer daylight comes in with the breeze.

Beautiful setting directly on the lake. Great breakfast and we ate a very good dinner one night as well. Staff was very helpful.

No A/C or fans in the rooms. They can get very hot / stuffy during the summer, making it difficult to sleep.

Great location only 10 minutes outside the city center. Great restaurant and breakfast. Amazing farm-to-table ingredients.

The set up is simple small wet room bathroom with shower. No frills. There was a shared kitchen too. We were satisfied with the room and facilties. Would have tried the sauna if we knew we were allowed.

The location on the fjord with a beach was great fun for a cool swim after a warm day.The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff very understanding.Indeed the restaurant staff accommodated us for dinner at their closing time. The restaurants in town said there was a visa issue with foreign cards. After not being able to get cash from the atm and trying all our cards we went back to the hostel. So our card worked and we got fed...miracle we were so grateful. Reception staff also were able to loan us a Frisbee. Dinner and Breakfast were great.
