Isle of ManUnfortunately the water pump that serviced all the apartments broke so there was no hot water at all. Considering we were going to a wedding, this was an issue. Just one shower was made available in one room for use by all people staying in the 'deluxe' apartments. The water pump wasn't mended within the duration of our stay. I understand such breakages happen, but it wasn't dealt with very well. We weren't offered the opportunity to move to a room (they all had hot water) and a refund wasn't offered, we had to haggle to get a small cash refund. The balcony was a bit tired, hadn't been cleaned and was littered with cigarette butts. The room was comfy and facilities were great but the coffee, tea and creamer were not replenished during our stay. The lighting in the bathroom is not wonderful. We had a small issue with the tv which receptionist Liam went out of his way to try to sort out for us. Unfortunately it was due to a technical issue on all the televisions and couldn't be resolved. Regardless of all that I would stay there again as long as there was hot water!
The hotel was very well presented, the staff were great and all the food was exceptional. The tram and train station were just a 2 minute walk away. Tram tickets could be bought at reception which was handy. There was a lovely little park less than a minute's walk away.

FranceWhen we arrived early and asked about early check-in (fully understanding that it might not be possible), the receptionist’s response came across as quite rude, which left a poor first impression. The beds were very uncomfortable and made noise with every movement, which made it difficult to rest properly. Also, the balconies were not very clean, which took away from the overall experience.
We stayed in one of the apartment-style rooms, which had a good layout and setup, and the location was convenient, especially with on-site parking available.

United KingdomThe room was quite expensive and it would have been nice to be provided with at least one small bottle of water per person per day. There was a vending machine for water but needed coins to operate, which we did not have on arrival from the UK. There were no shops close by to buy bottled water. Reception staff kindly gave us some water when we asked but for the price of the room (it had a fridge) a couple of bottles of water would have been a nice touch. We didn't try the breakfast.
Room was quiet, bed comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Location right next to train/tram stops was very convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful.

FranceBathroom was not perfectly clean and one light bulb was out of order. We chose a suite and there was not enough light in the living room. We had dinner for five at the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get the meals. Night park was outside of the building and charged.
Staff was welcoming and helpful. The suite we had was reasonbly quiet and large. Breakfast was very nice with good quality and a large variety of products.

United KingdomThe bar closed too early - many of us staying were at gigs at De Beorderij, and would have come back to the hotel earlier if the bar had stayed open. There was also what looked like a stabbing incident om the bridge near the railway station/tram stop late on Saturday night - I would advise travelling in numbers or getting a cab - I am guessing that the Golden Tulip at Zoetermeer is not in one of the safest parts of town.
Comfortable room, helpful staff, breakfast was expensive for what it was but good.
