Few technical issues (the window was not closing, the bathroom ventilator did not function). It would be good to state the size of the parking discount clearly for those traveling by car (instead of 25 one pays 22.5 per day).

The facilities were really basic, and I am not a demanding person. The bathroom is basically a barely ventilated plastic box, the sink was filling immediately as soon as I opened the tap. The shabby bunk bed was screaching and shaking every time my husband turned around, so don't put anyone heavy onto the top :)

It was an ad hoc decision to stay in Groningen, so I appreciated the fact that we found cheap accommodation the same day. The location is great, right next to the city center, there are bars and restaurants all around. Checking in and out was fast and unproblematic, staff were nice.

The room's cleanliness was quite basic and felt minimal. The beds were also uncomfortable, metal-framed and creaky, more like folding beds than proper ones, which made sleeping difficult.

The location was convenient, close to the city center, and the room was adequately sized for three people. Breakfast was satisfactory. We also visited the hotel’s bar-restaurant in the evening, which had a pleasant space, polite staff, and decent drinks.

The small room I was given was very different from the sumptuous, spacious one implied in the photo on the listing. It also wasn't ready until a full hour after the official check-in time, which was not what I needed after a long drive and wanting to get in to get freshened up before meeting friends.... All of the power sockets in the room were placed quite a way up off the floor, meaning that practically they couldn't be used, because there was no surface on which to support the devices etc being powered. Finally, the hotel has many random changes of height (ie steps up and down) in the corridors leading to the rooms, which aren't clearly marked imho. I was caught out a couple of times by these.

Our room was very small and the bathroom fan and a light didn't work. While they promised maintenance would fix it, they never did. Additionally, the common kitchen had only a small fridge and a microwave and kettle. There is no sink, so you have to go into the bar to ask them to fill the kettle.

The location is great, the public areas are comfortable.

With the rooms being as small as they are, having better storage would be good. Just a few extra hangers for clothes, and especially a shelf or similar up by the top bunks in the triple rooms. All in all I feel that the space could be used much more efficiently, if there was just a few extra places to put things. The whole hostel area felt a bit like under serviced? I guess maybe we visited outside the season. We had the sign for changing towels out multiple times, for many hours while we were out, and they weren’t changed. The shared toilets by the hostel lounge, weren’t in amazing condition. The room had quite a bit of cod webs in the ceiling. The shared kitchen and lounge is nice, but could probably do with more regular cleaning. We also kinda missed having a sink in the shared kitchen. All in all, no big deal, I just feel there’s a lot of extra potential here.

Great location in the city. The rooms were fine, beds and pillows were comfortable. The shared kitchen/lounge was great, and we got a lot of use out of it.

The beds are not very comfortable, but for one night it was oké. The space in shower/toilet is tiny, and it stinks.

It is in between the train station and the city center, super convinient distance-wise; also there is a bus stop right in front of the hostel. Personeel was friendly. You can leave your luggage after check-out.

The walls are thin. Voices in the corridor can be heard during the night, I sometimes almost thought the chatting was inside the room!

The hostel location is very central. The private twin room was good value for money, clean, and spacious enough.
