How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There’s a lot of dodgy people around the area at night, which I guess is expected for big cities. The toilets were not clean, someone had diarrhoea in my floor and I couldn’t use the toilet. The doors can’t be locked in the toilet and the men’s toilets were not properly cleaned. Also, the building is so strangely built, so many floors with narrow stair cases and confusing passages.
It’s close to a bus stop and train station. Rooms are not too bad, there’s space to move around.

My biggest problem was the small toilet. That size for a toilet is not normal. It is so uncomfortable. If you are located on the last floor, you must go one floor down to go to toilet or in the shower, which if you take in to consideration the architecture of the Douch stairs, it was very uncomfy. The second thing I didn't like was the practicality of the room -only one table in a room for two. No place where to put your things. There was enough space to add some practical thing (like another table, closet..).
Location, it was clean, warm.

Definitely it was not the Best hostel I have Been to. The Main disadvantage is lack of kitchen. I don't ask for breakfast, however, I would like to make Just a tea...another thing- small electric lamps attached to every bed would be useful.
Good area, close to cheap restaurants. It was good.

The towel is not included in the room rate, and an additional 5 EUR charge applies for it. Access to the rooms is quite uncomfortable due to the steep stairs. When I asked to stay an extra night, the reception informed me that the hotel was fully booked, but the rooms appeared in booking.com
Clean and quit hostel. fair value. overall good hotel if you travel on budget and want to stay in private room.

Floor was a bit creaky, very steep stairs up to the room which were scary but also kind of hilarious. No elevator.
Friend group of four were satisfied with our stay! Super close to bus station that took us all the way to the train station. Supermarket close by. Staff was super nice and quickly gave us another room when we realised that the room we were assigned was messy from the last people who stayed there. Beds were made upon arrival, check-in was smooth and rooms had lockers, sink and shower. We were comfortable during our stay!

The room could be nicer if they would just paint it in white, it looked and felt like a prison cell, no decoration, no colors, just metal bunk beds and metal locker, sink with mirror and chair, all in all a bit depressive. Good for one night, a bit too harsh for longer stay.
It was cheap in comparison to other places for a separate room for two, not far from central part of the city

The bed was so small and uncomfortable. It doesn't really have a proper common area to chill. Super small toilets, could barely close the door and sit down on the toilet.

The room card is demagnetized. At one o'clock in the morning, I had to go down to the reception desk located on the street, which was closed, but fortunately, the guard helped me get into my room.
