How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great stay at the property! All of the staff and the owner Fidel are incredibly friendly and kind. I ended up extending my stay for 4 more nights because it was such a great stay. Perfect coworking space with strong wifi and AC, and great location in sjds. Nice to have a kitchen, complimentary water and coffee, and a hot shower as well.

loved my stay here, good value, centric, the staff is really nice and helpful, the rooms have everything you need to relax after a busy day at work, hot shower and comfy bed. I'll definitely stay here when Im back in town.

All good.
Nice location in the center of everything. Comfortable rooms with AC and fans, nice hot shower. The wifi speed was good and there's a coworking room with all you need, plus multiple tables and social areas. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. I booked 4 nights at this hotel, and I'll stay again whenever I'm visiting San Juan del Sur in the future.

Everything was great! Fast internet, free water and coffee. comfy bed, clean, Great friendly staff and kitchen facilities with everything you need. After the second day the wifi went down. No fault of the facility. Things happen. The owner knew this was a working vacation for me so he relocated me up the street to an apartment that he owns with strong internet at no extra charge for the last 4 days of my stay. Much appreciated!! Really great people!

There was no blanket - just a sheet. Could get loud at night from the parties and music happening nearby.
Great location and staff. AC and fan in the room. We booked surfing through the hotel, highly recommend.

Very helpful staff!! Always there to help understanding my needs! Very good location in San juan del sur and far from the noisy clubs! Very clean bathroom. Room was small, which I knew but could be either a small chair to put some stuff on.

It's getting hot in the room. Coffee is there but only in the morning. AC for co-working only sometimes ther. Can be louder at night

I was in the single room which is the only room without an AC. The fan helps but the room would be perfect if it had an AC.
If you're travelling and working, this is a great place to stay. The location is central, it's quiet and their coworking area is big enough to fit a small team, it's air-conditioned with views of the beach. Or, if you fancy, you can lounge on the terrace overlooking the bay. The staff is helpful and the place is clean. You can also use the kitchen.

Truly it couldn’t have been better for the type of trip I was looking for. I loved the upstairs with a balcony. Staff is so friendly and the room is perfect for one person. It still had community places like a hostel with the privacy of your own room. Much better prices than privates in other hostels in the area. Close to the beach and all good places to eat, go out, etc. I’d recommend to everyone!

Noise from the street, you can hear people talking and all the vehicles passing at night, if you use an earplug it can help..
Affordable price, good location close to everything. High speed wifi internet, really good for work and video calls, they have no-break, so even with power outages you can still have some.extra hours of internet and power. Coworking space is nice, big tables, confortable chairs, it has A/C and fans.

You can hear some nearby bar noise at night, but it was Buena Vista Social Club so I liked it ;) Power broke at 9am and the east-facing room turned to a sweatbox fast.
Good location. Loved the tall windows and view. Large clean room and comfortable. Windows opened and shower had a window to let air through.

The only small downside was that we get a very thin sheet and one quite soft/flimsy pillow each. We asked for an extra set of pillows though and they were happy to assist. We had a private room and private bathroom, however towards the end of our stay the shower handle would zap our hands, like an electrical fault. We let the front desk know and hopefully they fix it as it can get very dangerous mixing water and electricity if not solved in the future.
Enjoyed our stay so we extended it by another 5 days. Great coworking space upstairs and it had a sound proofed “call room” which was fantastic for me recording voiceovers. The staff is very friendly and great at their jobs, the shared kitchen was always clean. Great A/C in the room. Great location, can be noisy in the street at times on weekends but overall great value. The terrace upstairs is nice to hang as well. Especially during low season it felt like we had the place to ourselves sometimes!
