Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NigeriaThe space felt like a mix between an Airbnb, a hotel, and a hostel — which may not suit everyone looking for a more traditional hotel experience.
The space is warm and comfortable, set in one of the best locations on Victoria Island. It has an eclectic, communal vibe that welcomes everyone — from creatives and business travellers to those simply seeking a quiet retreat. While the clientele and management lean youthful, they made space for both me and my elderly father with ease. What truly stands out is the team’s accommodating nature and how well connected the space feels to both the established and emerging Lagos scenes.

United StatesWe ran into a very stressing issue there. It took a while, but it was thoroughly addressed, and we were satisfied by the end. This speaks well to the staff.

NigeriaThe facility is in a public property and the entrance doesn't show a good reflection on the hotel as it is not properly maintained.
The garden of eden feel of the facility, the cleanliness of the space, the very intelligent and engaging staff, good food and very cold drinks. Everything was on point.

ArgentinaThe building itself and entrance is not pretty, there is no pool and it was quite expensive (though less than other options in Victoria Island). Doors are not sealed well, so if you are a light sleeper you might wake up when people talk or walk by - maybe ask not to be put in the room next to the common area. One of our rooms did not have towels nor shampoo/conditioner, we had to ask for them but they gave it to us (I think it was because we were supposed to be in another room and they ended up changing us so that we could be near another room with our friends).
The staff was really friendly, the place looks really nice (shared areas and rooms) as its furnishing is cool, it has a loot of plants and nice view. The bedroom had a super comfy bed, AC, minibar, etc. The common area also had boardgames, books and you can have food or snacks easily available. Another good thing is that we could pay with international card (not taken as a given in Nigeria).

NigeriaI know it's not a hotel, but would've loved the intentional spacing of a hotel building. It is what it is dealing with space in Lagos, but the feel of being separated from spaces 8th floor, 2nd floor, restaurant was different, took some getting used to. That price too... hmm. Still 16x16 has a lot of steez. It is a cultural hub (even if a small one) with intentional beginnings.
It was a nice pristine room in the middle of a residential block in Victoria Island. It somehow managed to carve out this quiet space, with a zen-like vibe in the middle of the hustling Victoria Island energy. Nice getaway space, had nice plants (we know how hard it is to keep vibrant indoor plants so we appreciated them). Lovely water temperature, nice water pressure too. Tried to showcase Lagos life and culture too with the bathrobe and some touches. Thoughtful Wedding Anniversary gift from the team. Thank you all.

United KingdomWouldn’t have minded some sort of access to fitness facilities but it’s not the kind of hotel so understandable.
Beautiful rooms, and ambience was great. Beautiful design overall and artsy oriented which I loved.

South AfricaA tall spindly cactus in a tiny pot, sitting unbalanced on the reading table was a bit inappropriate and I got severely pricked by it when I had to reach behind the same heavy wooden table to turn out the table lamp as the switch was hidden behind said table. Also, some tidying up would be nice, and try to hide some of the network cables which are so evident.
Location is in central Victoria Island, very easy to find and within easy reach of most places I wanted to go to. The property is striving to create a space that is unique in several ways with lots of plants and uncommon decor, including the unusual furniture. So it was quite interesting to see and experience from an artistic perspective. The staff were friendly and helpful, so that was also a plus.

United StatesThe system to order the food was a bit cumbersome. Breakfast is supposed to be ready at 9am, but was late. Food was very good when ready though!
I loved the room design, the food options, and the accessible staff. Quiet environment, and the view from the 8th floor is top notch.
