How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the food is quite on the high side, and the menu is more of Asian cuisine.
the breakfast was great and the location is serene. the staff were friendly, it has a neat and welcoming ambient. their kitchen served good and tasty meal, and server presented their food well.

I would always stay at this hotel, each time I am in Abuja. Its neighborhood is safe and well lit at night. Most of the hotel's rooms I have stayed in are spacious and comfortable. Hot water from the shower and the internet worked well during my stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is a standby generator. From the hotel's location in Maitama, it has often been easy to get to many areas of Abuja.

The service staff in the restaurant, though we'll intentionally, require refresher training in customer service. The oriental decor and general setup.of the resturant was great . The food was good too
It's tastefully furnished , well decorated, and beautifully curated . The front desk staff were exceptional, polite, and courteous.

One staff member who worked in reception has no idea of politeness, service and basically everything you need to be to be a receptionist. Her phone permanently in hand, the words please and thank you will never be heard. Just barked instructions whilst looking at phone. Property was quite noisy with generator plus people slamming doors at all hours.
Clean property with comfortable bed. WiFi was good but on a free voucher system which can be slow. Shower was warm and did the job. Food in attached restaurant, Shogun, was amazing.

Breakfast options could be clearer. The first time I went for breakfast, I was told it was buffet style but was left to guess what was available and had to ask before I was told I could make requests to the kitchen as well.
The room was clean and comfortable. The free WiFi was a great addition. I loved the restaurant in front, the food was great.

The last time there were no towels in the room but this time, I was happy to see that they took my feedback and there were towels. There's still no kettle to make tea which is a disappointment because there are tea items in the room. The breakfast is too basic and more variety should be provided.
Location is excellent and rooms are decent and clean.

Well generally my stay was great and I loved everything, from the reception the staff gave me to the food and of cos the free WiFi also their quick response to issues as well.
The breakfast was good but can be improved on by bringing more options. The location was perfect for me as I could navigate easily around town.

I didn’t like that the walls are thin, they don’t serve compliment water to there guest and the breaksfast didn’t have a variety to choose from.
I appreciate the staff being so pleasant and polite. I love that they had hot water, clean room and air condition also the WiFi was strong and good.

Rooms downstairs are not very bright (for those who like sunlight), bedsheets and towels are clean, but old

The fact that i was not allowed to extend my stay except i pay their direct ridiculous rates. I was promptly kicked out of the hotel. Even while i was in the shower preparing to leave, they kept calling to remind me that i needed to leave the room. I left soon afterwards. I will not be returning to the hotel ever.
The ambience was good and the location was central. Close to my meeting venues.
