How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were placed in a lower room than we paid for - it was most probably an honest mistake we believe.
The stay was comfortable and the staff made extra efforts to be friendly and helpful.

Some of the furniture is already dated or visibly damaged (like the wardrobe, the wooden frame of the bathroom, the curtain rods). The pillows were too soft for my liking and seemed already very tired. The provision of towels was inconsistent; at times I was having hand towels, other times big body towels only. Something I found really strange is that the side lamp was connected to the spotlights right over the bed, so the purpose of having a warm, indirect light not hitting the eyes was completely defeated.
The hotel is well located in the Ikeja area. It's conveniently close to the airport, business areas, and shopping centers. The room was comfortable overall. The breakfast was good (though not so varied). Most of the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. I liked the daily provision of coffee, tea, and water.

The hotel was pricey based on the name but it requires improvement. They should work on refurbishing the rooms

The staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make me feel right at home in the hotel. Exceptionally attentive and courteous. The breakfast was amazing and the chefs are wonderful- stuffed myself each night!

The men at the gate were rude and unfriendly. I pre-booked online using booking.com and was supposed to pay in euros on arrival. I ended up paying more than the amount on my booking. The toilet was flooded after using the shower because the glass that stops water from spreading out of the shower area is broken or has been removed.
The flexibility of the kitchen staff and their ability to get breakfast ready at 4am. The staff (except those at the gate) are so nice and helpful. The room and lobby always smelled nice.

The TV is outdated . For the standard of such a place , the TVs in the rooms are antiquated and shouldn’t still be there . Hotels now use smart TVs .

Rooms had problems with the A/C. After 2 nights without a working A/C i was moved to another room. After the 1st night in the new room the A/C stopped cooling. I had to call Engineering a few times before problem was fixed.
Breakfast Buffet was good with a lot of variety.

they were parties at night so you could hear the noise even through the room also most of the staff were rude until further notice.
the breakdast location was nice nad the chef took requests. the room was cleaned regularly. it had close proximities to places such as shoprite and the dinner was nice.

The maintenance is slacking a little .The rooms are starting to look shabby ... the tiles are stained, bedding a little thin and the furniture is scratched ... but overall value for money.
It's starting to look old but it's clean and well facilitated. Staff is very helpful. Laundry services was quick and affordable. The facilities were very clean and breakfast had sufficient variety. Towels white and very clean. Quality toiletries provided.

Most of the food is very chili (i dont like )
