An outstanding destination near Solitaire. Upmarket, yet unpretentious. Efficient and friendly staff who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and cared for. Superb catering and delicious food. I recommend Solitaire Mountain Lodge without hesitation.

The room has a long passive-aggresive list of house rules, which was hidden on a side table and not referred to in the introductory tour. There are fines for eating in your room or laundry done in the room, presumably including even rinsing out quick dry outdoor clothing. It was unwelcoming and seemed excessive. The room was big, but only had a small double bed with no headboard. We'd booked a twin, and when we mentioned that we may have been given the wrong room we were told it was correct. The shower drained very slowly and filled up whilst using it.

Staff were all very welcoming and attentive. The property is beautifully landscaped and had wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Rooms were spacious and has a nice outdoor veranda. The outdoor bar and seating area were comfortable. Dinner options were varied and enjoyable. Breakfast had a reasonable selection. Unlike many similar places, there was WiFi in common areas and rooms. Overall great for a day or two.

The bedroom and bathroom are a little bit "old" we expected more because of the price, but all the rest was very nice!

The lodge is in a beautiful location and the food was lovely. The room was big and the balcony perfect to watch the sunset.

We were looking for a stop between Sossusvlei and Swakupmond and this is the place to be. Real cute town, excellent apple pipe and guaranteed to see Cheetas in the nearby reserve. The lodge is beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly and helpfull. They helped us to book for the sand dune trip at Sand Harbour, so this was all arranged when we arrived their the next day. Stargazing at night is amazing.

Loved it. Beautiful facility, so well maintained. Staff (Adrian - spelling?) was fantastic - super attentive, genuine. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Remote location near mountains; gorgeous. Room was large and provided everything needed. Highly Recommend!

The lodge is conveniently located near Solitaire and served as our starting point for exploring Sossusvlei. It’s truly a beautiful oasis in the middle of the savannah, where the boundary between the wild and the lodge grounds practically disappears. The design of both the accommodations and the entire property is very authentic. Dinners and breakfasts were exceptionally delicious, and the staff was attentive and welcoming.

You cannot find anything not to like! It’s incredible!

Extremely beautiful property with extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Both Maggie and Adrian were super welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the property. Everything at the property was spectacular, from hiking trails, to watering holes, onsite pool, restaurant, great wifi, clean rooms. Great stay! Would highly recommend!!! Would return!

GORGEOUS lodge outside of Solitaire, with plenty of game on site. Bikes available for rent for the trails around the grounds. Water hole near the reception / bar where animals come at dawn/dusk. The loveliest staff ever. Adrian was especially gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend!

1- was far from deadvlei, not their fault but just an fyi if someone wants to stay here 2- the shower completely clogged, they tried to fix it but still it was pretty nasty showering in your own filth 3- wifi signal was very bad

This place is much nicer than the pictures show. Big rooms. Comfortable beds, good food, and very nice staff.
