Staff wonderful . Located located in Central old part of Klein Windhoek - close to embassies & 10 mins from Joe’s beer House wild game meat themed restaurant by car . Wild love birds live in palm trees which our boys really enjoyed .

Smoking is allowed on the patio, which is an extension of the dining area (However in Namibia, this is not unique to this place). I get the sense the hotel is in the business of accommodating people on behalf of tour/safari companies as opposed to providing hospitality. The lady who served breakfast was friendly, albeit a little shy - for the rest of the staff it seems that providing any help is a chore. The service wasn't bad, it just wasn't warm. I was sent a scam email via this website (booking dot com) - it has nothing to with Palmquell, but be aware. No TV in my room and it seems they don't make filter coffee if there are less than a certain number of guests.

The location is good, quiet and convenient - its a short walk (down a steep hill) to a few good restaurants and also in area that is nice to walk around. I had a large main room with double bed, plus an extra room with a single bed and desk and en suite - which was perfect as a solo work traveler. Wifi worked well. The pool is a decent size (I didn't use it as I was there in Autumn, but i am sure its nice in summer). The grounds are in good condition. The breakfasts are adequate. It is a comfortable hotel.

I recently stayed at this pension hotel for 2 nights and impressed me with its organized and supportive staff. They ensure a smooth experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. There is no complimentary bottled water; we had to purchase it. This is quite unusual, and probably an improvement the property could consider.

Shower is a bit weird in terms of getting water EVERYWHERE and the Sauna is a building site. They also take payment at the location instead of through Booking dot com so be aware of that.

If you are looking for a place to overnight in Windhoek this is great. A lovely pool, nice breakfast and spacious room allows you to easily get ready for meetings or for an onward journey. Centrally located and well priced, I would highly recommend it.
