Great Campsite on the way to Sossusvlei. The staff was super helpful and gave us great tips for our next morning tour to Soussusvlei. The campsites were very clean and private, with a beautiful view of the Namib desert.

Wonderful place in the bush, far from the nearest neighbor, we felt like the last humans on earth. Hot water, hot shower, all facilities well equipped, great braai. A true gem!

Good start to our Namib Desert 4x4 Camping . Note - it’s still an hours journey on gravel dirt roads to the actual Soss

The camp sites are closer to the road than the lodge so you do hear (& see) some 4x4 sounds - this seems to be the same in most of our camp site stays as well as inside the park so don’t expect more. The other campsites are 200m away but you don’t hear / see them much.

We were alone on the 4x4 campsite under wide open desert starry skies . First night of our camping trip & created a real feel of vast open desert spaces . The main lodge is about 5 minutes drive for pool & drinks . Had own clean hot shower , kitchen sink & elec points, outdoor lights & braai

5 km corrugated road to arrive to the reception from the main entrance where you then answer the same questions you filled out on the form at the entrance gate to then they send you back nearly to the main gate where the campsites are. Would be good if you could just send campers straight to the campsite and give the option to visit the reception later if they wanted to, or repair the roads a bit. No phone service, if you need WiFi also you need to drive to the reception. Otherwise I recommend!

I was in campsite 2. It was very nice, super clean and it had hot shower, electrical outlets. There was a small area to do washing up too. Although it’s close to the main road, but the last cars passing after 10-10.15pm then it gets quiet until sunrise.

Very nice campsite. As guests at the campsite you are allowed to use the two pools at the hotel free of charge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with additional costs. Approx. 40 minutes to the entrance of Sossusvlei. Very clean facility. Privacy as there was no one else. When you are lucky you can see giraffes from the campsite 🦒

However, the main lodge with all the facilities and services is located 5km gravel road away from the campsite, so we only used the facilities right after checkin.

Great remote location. There are 3 campsites with about 5 camping spots on each campsite. We were on campsite 3 and were the only people camping. There is one shared bathroom house with two shower rooms and two toilets on the campsite. There is also a dishwashing area and some bbqs. The bathrooms were very very clean. But as we were the only people staying there, we don’t know how it is if it’s more busy. We loved the warm welcoming of the staff at the main lodge were the reception is located. We got a welcome drink and were allowed to use the pool area, breakfast and diner at the main lodge.

We quite liked our stay at Namib Desert Campsite. The amenities were exceptionally clean, and during our visit, we had the toilet and kitchen block entirely to ourselves, which made the experience feel very private. The campsite is small, with only a few sites, so it never feels overcrowded. As part of the Gondwana Collection, guests have access to the nearby lodge’s facilities—including the restaurant and the pools—which were absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. While the campsite is a bit of a drive from the main reception, we didn’t mind at all, as the seclusion added to the peaceful, private atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay if you're looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable camping experience in the desert.

Camping location wasn’t beautiful (too close to toilet/shower building not very much other space, we sat somewhere else to cook etc). When you camp you want to be in nature, not next to a building.

Facilities we could use at the lodges were very nice. Friendly personel. Beautiful sunset and star gazing. Nice hikes possible, next to fairy circles.

Very beautiful campsite. It's about 5 km from the lodge and reception wich makes it even better. We were the only ones there. So there is nothing else but the beautiful nature and animals. A giraffe crossed the street when we drove from the reception to the campsite. And you can see the stars very good because there's no other light in the surrounding. Nice clean sanitair with hot shower.

The person welcoming us was not the most friendly. The pool area is not accessible for the people staying in the camp, although in all other campsites we did have access to the pool areas. We had an issue with the sink, which broke and flooded our bathroom. However, the staff was very quick to fix it once aware of it and cleaned it afterwards. Thank you for that!

The location, inside the gates is the best to visit sesriem before the others staying outside of the site. The shower and toilets are in closed buildings and were clean.

We stayed at campsite #1 and didn't expect other cars to arrive at our campsite late at night. There was enough space for more people though, but the other 2 campsites were unoccupied at the same time.

The campground had everything we needed (private bathroom facilities, electricity, lights). The best was that the campsites were not far from the main lodge, and we could use the pool area and the restaurant.
