Waiting for your pick-up and not receiving a warm greeting from our guide is not the standard of service we strive to deliver, and we will address this with our team to ensure a more welcoming and seamless arrival experience for future guests. We also understand your concerns regarding the cold winter temperatures and the comfort of the tents. While we provide heated blankets and additional coverings, we recognize that this might not have been sufficient during the coldest mornings and evenings. We sincerely regret the discomfort caused by the power outage on your final night. Unfortunately, due to the extreme and unusual drop in temperature to -4°C, our backup generator failed to start—a technical fault that was both unforeseeable and beyond our control. Please rest assured that our generator is serviced regularly as part of our maintenance routine, and we are reviewing this incident closely to prevent a recurrence. We also appreciate your comments regarding the tent’s zipper. We are currently in the process of replacing flaps and zips across our tented rooms to enhance guest comfort and ensure durability. We also appreciate your note regarding the restaurant during the winter months. You're absolutely right — while the open design allows for beautiful views and connection with nature, it does present challenges during colder periods. We’re actively exploring ways to enclose the space, and we’re hopeful to implement this improvement next year. In the meantime, we’ve put several comfort measures in place: each room is equipped with a heater, each bed features electric blankets, and our team adds hot water bottles in the evenings to help keep you cozy. In the restaurant, you’ll also find portable heaters, warm blankets, and extra hot water bottles available to make your dining experience as comfortable as possible. Your feedback is valuable in helping us prioritize the necessary improvements. Regarding the pool, please accept our apologies if it did not meet your cleanliness expectations. We clean the pool daily, and any sediment you noticed may have been caused by recent rain or wind, which can occasionally affect the water's clarity. We’ll continue to monitor this closely to ensure the highest standards are maintained for our guests. As for the game drive, we want to assure you that there is no commercial hunting on the reserve. The animals are wild and roam freely, which means they can sometimes be more elusive compared to a park like Etosha. While this may result in sightings from a greater distance, it also offers a more natural and undisturbed wildlife experience. We understand that different guests have different expectations for wildlife viewing, and we always strive to provide a respectful and authentic connection to nature. Due to unusually severe rainstorms over the past month, a few of our tents unfortunately sustained minor tears. We’ve already begun repairing these and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure they are restored promptly and professionally. In addition, we are currently in the midst of a soft refurbishment across the property. This includes replacing older furniture, refreshing some of the fittings, and addressing areas affected by natural wear such as the visible rust you noted. We are fully committed to enhancing the comfort and aesthetic of our spaces to match the exceptional environment we’re privileged to be part of.
