Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenDet finns ingenting vi inte gillade med boendet, det var i absolut världsklass :)
Our stay at Habitas Namibia was truly something extraordinary. The lodge itself is stunning – luxurious rooms with a view that doesn’t even feels real. Every morning and evening gave us magical views over the landscape, and the food was absolutely incredible, full of exciting flavors and beautifully presented dishes. But what really made this trip unforgettable was our safari guide, Moses. As a photographer, I’ve been on a few safaris before, but Moses’ professionalism, dedication, and incredible tracking skills were on another level. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Not only did he find the animals, but he also made sure we always saw them in the perfect light for photography. The attention to detail and care he put into every sighting was just outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for more, and I’m so grateful for the photos and memories we took home. A huge thank you also to the rest of the staff, who constantly made sure we felt well taken care of. Small touches, like surprising us with hot chocolate and a warm smile after a slightly chilly evening safari, made us feel truly pampered and at home. You can tell that everyone at Habitas Namibia is passionate about creating a warm and personal experience for their guests. This is a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking both adventure and relaxation.

United KingdomThe tented rooms are quite dark, and the main entrance zip in need of replacement. On my final night, it was -4C and the site power failed, the backup generator unfortunately did not kick in due to a fault so we had no light, heat or hot water. Lack of scheduled maintenance/testing maybe?
Location is superb, with a panoramic view of the reserve. Food was very good. Tents/cabins very spacious. The staff were excellent and couldn't be more accommodating. Moses, who took me on both my game drives was exceptional and very skilled at locating the wildlife in this large reserve, the lions in particular.

United StatesWe stayed an entire week at Our Habitas Namibia and it was truly amazing. We wanted a week of stress free, relaxation, paired with a warm atmospheres and good food. We got that and more. The views are to die for! The food was impeccable! The staff were so warm and accommodating. We spent a lot of time on the drives with Moses. Moses was amazing! He was very knowledgeable of the conservation and animals. And he was well prepared for the weather and ensured we stayed warm on our drives. Ndeshi and MJ were great hosts and helped plan a birthday breakfast for me and accommodated us with the best room with the best view (room 9)...it's a hike but worth it! Toini was also great as a host and masseuse! The food was curated perfectly, every meal, every day. The chef came out often to check on us and was able to substitute some items due to food allergies. The communication amongst the staff was also top tier. We can't really pick out our favorite part of our stay, but I would recommend this place 10/10.

TaiwanThis was the most beautiful part of my 9-day journey in Africa. First of all, the location of the lodge felt sacred, overlooking the vast African savanna. During the 6:30 a.m. safari, the moment the orange-red sunrise illuminated the land, I was moved to tears. I felt my soul return to its pure essence, no identity, no role, no agenda. In that moment, there was only me, the earth, and the animals. I wasn’t going anywhere. I wasn’t trying to become anyone. I was simply being. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. On my first night, I arrived exhausted, but the smile of the staff at the entrance felt like someone saying, “Welcome home.” After sunset, as I was walking alone from my room to the restaurant in the dark, I met a female staff member who gently said “Company, company.” Then a male staff member walked with me all the way to the restaurant. That gesture deeply touched me. Later during dinner, it was a windy night and I was feeling cold. One of the female staff members kindly offered me a blanket, a small act of care that made me feel truly seen. When I returned to my room, I discovered it had been quietly turned down and made ready for sleep. That small surprise made me smile. It’s these quiet, thoughtful gestures that make me want to come back again.

The location of the lodge is surreal. The view, never seen anything like it. It had just rained for two months, so many green colors around. The game drives with Mozes were amazing. He knows everything about the animals and he searches for them without using a tracker. The staff was super friendly, kind and helpfull. We absolutely will come back.

Our stay was absolutely excellent. 6 friends travelling for safari and we got exactly what we hoped for. A glorious venue with fabulous, attentive staff and outstanding food. Even though the restaurant had sadly been destroyed in a storm the week before our arrival, we still had the most wonderful food. Bush supper after a wonderful couple of days seeing Lions, Elephants, Rhino, Hippo, Giraffes a fabulous array of birds and all the "deery things" you could wish for, was an absolute triumph - although our drumming was rather dubious! Thank you so much.

ItalyThe menu is a bit limited; we would have appreciated a couple more options for breakfast and lunch. The service at the restaurant/bar could be better; everyone is very nice, but from a place like this, you would expect a slightly higher level of service.
Amazing location and view, far beyond expectations. The tents and furnishings are beautiful, and it's clear that everything is meticulously cared for. The safari at sunset and yoga sessions were wonderful! The food is excellent, especially the vegetarian options!

GermanyTelephones in the tents would be fine, in the night there is no chance to call the reception or security in case of a problem and unwillingness to walk the distances through the darkness, and Wi-Fi is unstable for using one‘s mobile phone.
