The internet connection is not good and is only available at the lobby. Theres sometimes a smell in the toilettes.

The view at Agama Lodge is amazing, looks like a painting. They organize your tours and even if they are not located in sossusvlei you don’t have to worry for the commuting. The rooms are very big and the bed is comfortable. Food is provided at all times.

WiFi is only available at reception, but this place is meant to disconnect from our busy world and for connecting with the desert.

The location is great value for money when travelling to Sossusvlei, only a one-hour drive to Sesriem gate. The place is stunning and a swim in the infinity pool is well worth stomaching the cold water. The food is delicious and pairs well with stunning sunsets and sunrises. If you can, do some stargazing, you won't be disappointed. Don't miss out on the resident warthogs.

Cold chicken wings, prawns and calamari as a part of the dinner is a horrible idea. They were awful Poor options for breakfast. As we dont eat cereals and yogurt we only got an egg omlet Very poor lighting in the room especially toilet where there's no light around the mirror

Room was very spacious and comfortable. The lodge is well maintained and location is good. Dinner was also good.

Lovely place, but not very convenient if you do not have your own vehicle

The location of the Agama lodge is, in fact, not that convenient if you do not have your own care and plan on going anywhere else. If I had it to do over again, I would book a lodge that is affiliated with a tour company, as the experience of booking a tour of the Sossuvlei and Namib-Naukluft park once I got to Agama was not good. Their own offering was expensive and inflexible compared to others. It also was only an option if at least two guests reserved a space, so it was not even clear that it would be offered on the day I wanted to take it. In the end, the staff kindly booked for me an excursion that left from a nearby hotel. That hotel and the excursion company were run by the same group, so I would have been better off booking with them from the beginning. They also picked me up at the Agama. I should also mention my disappointment that the Agama Lodge did not pick me up from the Namib Desert Lodge, which was the official Agama stop for the Go2 shuttle I took from Swakopmund. The Agama had agreed to do that; in the end, the shuttle driver took me. Similarly, when I asked for my bag to be sent from the Agama to the Namib Desert Lodge in time for the shuttle, the Agama refused to do that. The excursion company kindly made a detour to pick up my bag before taking me to the shuttle spot. Also, the wi fi was not good at all. I had a room close to the reception area, so I sometimes had weak wifi, but not always. Most people who need a connection end up hanging around the reception. This is an easy fix and somewhat inexcusable nowadays.

The best thing about the lodge was, as usual, the people. I had excellent service from everyone on the staff that I encountered. The room I had was also quite spectacular. It was as big as three or four normal hotel rooms, and had a full wall window looking out on the central area. It also had a private patio and a roof patio. The bathroom was equally enormous, with a stone shower.

That I didn't have much time to spend there since I had a lot of back to back activities scheduled

The food at this lodge was very tasty ! Love how clean my room was. The staff was very friendly and accommodative. I was running late for my check in and the manager sent a Whatsapp text to make sure I was ok and safe. That meant everything to me. Beautiful view, dinner outside by the fire pit felt so unreal .

    Nothing

The staff are extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The place is very modern and clean. One of the best places for star gazing, to relax, and to do tours from. The view from the lodge on the mountains is breathtaking. There is also the possibility to sleep outside on a sky bed for some extra cost.

The first set of rooms we were given had a very strong rubbery smell. I hoped that airing the room out a bit would help, but it was still so strong after 2 hours that it gave me a bad headache. The AC in my kids' room leaked and left a huge puddle on the floor. We mentioned it to the young gentleman in the front and he was very helpful in seeking out vacant rooms that don't smell and helped us move our stuff over, even though it was close to 10 p.m. Wifi is supposed to work near reception, but it was out when we stayed. It took a few tries to get the network to allow the credit card machine to work. We spent a very unplugged night, stargazing and flicking beetles off our sheets lol. The bugs. There are lots of scary-looking "crickets" (that look like a product of love between a roach and spider🤮) that are everywhere, but luckily stay [right] outside. Inside, there are lots of little beetles and a few spiders, but they're harmless, so it was fine.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. I was welcomed with an interesting cinnamon drink. A friendly young gentleman at the front desk was very attentive and helped me figure a lot of things out, without being impatient or rude. He even killed a spider in my room for me! The beds are very comfortable and the shower/bathroom is great. The rooftop is amazing, with a bed and basic mattress already there. They will set it up with pillows and sheets if you pay a little extra for star gazing. The AC works well and there is a small safe for valuables. The stargazing and scorpion walk was nice, but I guess due to the weather and bright moonlight, we didn't see as many scorpions or stars as we had hoped. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took a long time, turning over every rock until he was able to find a scorpion. We felt a little bad. Haha. The food. My goodness! The food was amazing and drinks well priced. The food selection wasn't large, but every single dish that was in the buffet was absolutely delicious and freshly made. It was better than anything we had eaten in Swakopmund. Compliments to the chef! The sunset and sunrise are spectacular and the landscaping is well maintained.

The Wifi is very weak, even in tne reception area it was for us noy easy to be connected, may be also depending of the number of guests using it.

Warm welcome, amazing view from the cottage, good food and not too far from the gate if Sossusvlei. We also did appreciate the option to sleep on the roof looking to the stars.

The Skybed set-up was underwhelming - more effort (bells & whistles, as advertised) can be put in to the actual set up. We enjoyed the experience.

The meals were good, a bit underwhelming when considering what is marketed, but good meals. The service during meals was slow with seemingly not enough staff but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was superb, special mention of Barry who did his best for both dinner and breakfast. Another special mention of Silva - took us for the Stargazing walk and was with us on the Sossusvlei excursion - he is extremely knowledgeable, patient and eager to educate us to ensure we get the full experience. He does his job with kindness and passion and deserves a five star rating. Thank you to Philip who was also with us on the excursion - we lost a phone and they made an effort to go back to where it was last seen to look for it. Overall, the staff at this establishment is definitely the best asset they have.

There was no mini fridge in my room. It’s really hot in the desert, so drinking warm bottled water wasn’t refreshing.

I loved how spacious the room was, the decor, attention to detail and the breathtaking views.

Minority of staff not great at responding to a few niggles raised with room like Aircon not working to full potential and one of bedside lamps not working. Overall the place feels like it needs a little more investment to keep up with repairs (poolside umbrellas broken for example).

Spacious individual units. Very clean. Great infinity pool and really good food (especially considering how remote this place is). Next to a road but so little traffic it causes no problem at all. Day trip to Sossluvai very good and informative, if a little on the expensive side. Most staff very friendly and welcoming.
