SwitzerlandThe other breakfast option at the Spice Market on the ground floor was very chaotic and crowded. Food quality at the Spice Market was pretty much standard fare, although the options were numerous. We stayed at the Junior Suite in the Rasa Wing, and while the room was lovely, it was a long walk to the pool and breakfast.
The facilities at the Rasa Wing offer access to a la carte breakfast at the Ferringhi Grill and complimentary canapes in the evening and afternoon tea. I believe the rooms in this wing offer a more premium experience, but at additional cost. The breakfast at the Ferringhi Grill and evening canapes are a lovely touch and the standard of food here is certainly above average. The room was cleaned twice daily and well stocked, special mention to Abu Hasan, who did a great job!

It was our first visit to Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang, and we had a truly memorable stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the service was excellent across all areas. Special thanks to Mr. Yus at the Reception for his warmth and kindness. He generously upgraded our room to a suite, which made our stay even more special. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of options, though there’s still room for improvement. The pool and amenities were excellent, especially considering the age of the hotel. You can still feel the touch of modern luxury, particularly if you're staying at the Rasa Wing
