How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

my room was wet and we did not know why. misty type of wet that makes the room floor damp. but we are still ok with this. no issue. just probably a note.

The air conditioning is hard to control and very loud.
Double Tree Resort is a well set up hotel with good lobby and eat facilities. The rooms are spacious. Nice location close to Batu Ferringhi market and a short drive from George town. Nice small beach across the road with Miami beach bar.

The beach left much to be desired. Went down first morning and was very disappointed.
Hotel overall was very good. Location was very accessible. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff were polite and very helpful. Pool was fine. Breakfast spread was very good.

Hotel was quite remote, access to the beach is via the bridge that crosses the road. The beach is rather small.
All staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the teddy museum.

When booking a room we paid for a balcony to be included. With the room assigned to us the water view could only be seen from the balcony room 1118. It seemed to me that all rooms had a balcony then to put an extra cost of around $18 dollars on top for the balcony I thought it was over the top. Staff great polite and friendly.

The hotel staff did not follow the exact booking details and had to be cross-questioned but they resolved the matter.
The hotel is well maintained and the staff is very friendly, especially the breakfast team. The housekeeping does a good job and ensures the room is welcoming once you are back. The breakfast is excellent and elaborate. Their facilities for children are great!

That my clothes were damp the whole time because of the aircon. Plus, the view from the balcony was a bit of a let down!
the bed and pillows were super comfy! The hotel had such a lovely vibe and the aesthetics were wonderful.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Access to the beach was just few minutes away which felt like a private beach. Overall, it was a great experience. The only thing would be the AC, it wasn't cold enough. Not sure because of the room size or it was just the weather being too hot.

It was extremely busy very booked out Breakfast was ok but very crowded I thought our room would have had a large bed and a single bed not a made up roller bed The lifts were very slow to come but probably because of the volume of people Booked for 3 but only 2 mugs and glasses and 2 tea bags etc had to call for more
Good location and the staff very friendly. Great view from balcony The concierge staff were amazing and in particular Rohaizry who went above and beyond The premium parking was great

no bad points
rooms were large and comfy, food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. A special mention for Yusriwati, on our 1st morning my daughter was unwell and couldn't come down for breakfast, Yusriwati was so helpful and made sure that my daughter was catered for, and checked she was ok throughout our stay. We loved our Indian breakfasts made by Shanti, she was so smiley and always recommended which dishes to go for in the morning.

You have to cross the street to get to the beach, although there is a private bridge. The beech itself is a bit hard to swim in, apparently there’s jellyfish. Also, Batu Ferringgi is about 30 mins away from Georgetown and big malls
So clean, staff were so nice and the pool and rooms are gorgeous and luxurious

The GM Ms Kristine is very friendly and helpful. She gave us tips on restaurants. She also arranged for us to takeaway buffet breakfast as our flights were very early. The breakfast spread is good. The staff were very responsive, eg they repaired the leaking tap and other problems effectively. We will stay here the next time.

Please use the hotel WIFI because I've had bad reception with my telco (digi) during my stay. Need to use the bridge to crossover to the beach.

The room not really soundproof. Can hear people outside. And my room is seaview but not really seaview it face the apartment in front.
Clean, staff very friendly and professional. Breakfast also good. Definately will come again
