Location was perfect . I had fantastic service from the staff on a personal level. My expectations were simple and this is what I received. I was content with the location, the beautiful atrium and a simple room . This hotel has NOT been a brothel for OVER 60 YEARS, but this historic , quaint and simply beautiful and restful atrium was a 'must stop here' for me.

Edwin at the front desk was outstanding. He helped us book an excursion and saved us money. He is honest and trustworthy. He is also the hotel manager and he and his wife are both dentists with an office located inside the hotel! The location is outstanding! Right near everything. 5 minutes to the mall, on the other side is the Marina! 10 minutes to the main beach. Just past Walmart, which is also just 5 minutes away on foot. There is no need for a car or cab at all! I give it an 8.5

The hotel has SO much potential. It just needs those gay guys from HGTV to go in there and give the place some zoozge! 😁 The beds are comfy, and there is a small fridge, but be advised that the rooms are very small. It's like perfect for one person small. We each had our own rooms, and we got used to the space right away, and everything was great from then on. Did you see the price?? Awesome value for this location!

The doors to the rooms all slam loud when people are leaving.

It was centrally located

It was undergoing renovations, so no restaurant (as per pictures) the rooms were covered in dust, we had to move rooms twice as the first room we couldn’t breath because the bleach was so strong (and there is no ventilation) and the second room had a big, blue, wet stain on the bed which smelt like cheese.

Good location near the centre- lovely staff very helpful comfortable bed - room had a fridge and good AC 👍 Lovely traditional place we loved the colours and the traditional feel The bathroom broke om the last day but it happens!

It’s true that the desk staff are friendly.

I stayed for ten days while on sabbatical. The website says they can arrange shuttle rides. The price didn’t reflect a competitive quote, turns out they just let a family member drive me (no AC) and while he was friendly he did the whole scam at the end “it’s actually X dollars more because I came before 8”. That’s after I’d checked on the shuttle price multiple times with the desk staff. Seems a pretty awful way to treat a guest who paid for ten days stay.

Perfect place if you are looking for a bed to sleep in after a long day in the downtown core.

Very original hotel with a lot of character! Beautiful interior. Super friendly staff. Great location away from the tourist noise but walking distance from everywhere. Great restaurants nearby.

The room has definitely seen better days. Bedding looked also quite worn.
