We liked everything!

We loved our stay at the Green Elephant! Unfortunately we only had one night but everything was fantastic and the perfect last stop after a dusty, long drive and perfectly located for the international airport, and a little outside the madness of Lilongwe. The staff were all great, the dinner one of the best we had over 3 weeks in both Malawi and Zambia (as was the breakfast). The grounds are lovely, full of birds and the pool really nice. The rooms were huge and beautiful and the decor and pool table area were all so tasteful and not over the top. We can fully recommend and would love to stay here again.

The waiter could have explained the options for dinner a little bit better. We basically just read what was written on the wall. Also they cook in the open kitchen could have given us a little more information on what he could prepare for us, especially since they were not busy at all. Maybe the management could teach them a little bit of guest relation and welcome culture

Breakfast was excellent in a beautiful setting overlooking the garden. For us it was a quiet retreat and a wonderful surprise.

Everything was priced in USD (the room cost and the dinner we ate). But when it was time to pay they converted the USD total to MWK. This was done rapidly on a calculator; I only noticed later that the exchange rate used was 7.5% worse than the prevailing rate. As such, the actual charge to my account was $38 higher than the USD total.

Gorgeous place to stay; extremely stylish (the rooms and the entire property). The suites were very large and fantastically equipped, with ample indoor and (private) outdoor space. Very comfortable bed. Great attention to detail (e.g. bug spray provided).

It is a beautiful property, with gardens. Chic decor. Rooms are comfortable. It is quiet. Will stay there again when visiting Lilongwe!

The dinninf options could be improved. The menu was quite limited and the food was relatively expensive for what was offered. Given the small size of portions and lack of nearby restaurant.

What I liked most about the property was its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. With only four rooms it felt very private and exclusive. The rooms are spacious and offered beautiful garden views,surrounded by plenty of trees. The quiet location made it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the nature.

This is a stunning small hotel. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely porch with private garden and direct access to the pool. The communal spaces are beautiful too. The team are very helpful and attentive whilst also giving privacy. The grounds are exquisite. This was exceptional value for money. Loved it.

No bath salts for the stylish stand alone bath. The bubble bath did the trick and the rain shower had strong pressure. Enjoyed the lighting and wooden shutters, there is a sense of understated luxury in the clean lines and scale of the room.

Tranquil, luxurious with great spaciousness and attention to detail in the design. Excellent chef. Lovely pool outside my room and mature verdant gardens. Outdoor living room of huge scale, really beautiful space to work in.

My second time staying here and it felt like going back home. I love EVERYTHING about this place. I will be going back. Ladies in the office, the Staff in the kitchen the cleaning ladies even the gardeners. 10-10-10.. obsessed

Access to town for those without a rental car would have been nice. I didn't feel safe walking on the roads alone. For someone like me who likes to exercise there were not any options other than a small pool.

If you are looking for a peaceful, calm and serene stay then this place is perfect. As a solo traveler staying for 5 nights it was too much...next time I would split my time between one of their other properties and this one
