Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FrancePartial seaview room means building view, not worth it! Make sure u book a seaview room. We didnt complain, but hotel not full, they could have given us a seaview room.

ItalyMaafushi is an island under construction. Lot of new buildings with construction in progress and, not sure if due to that, the water in the east part of the island was quite dirty due to brown discharge on water. This is not due to hotel of course!
Very good position with open view on east of the island to the reef. Very kind personnel for dining, always caring about needs. The pool view is amazing. We joined activities and excursions offered by the hotel, very efficient and easy to get pictures afterwards.

ChinaI booked the seaview room, but actually the room is not facing the sea. we just can have a side glance at the seaview from balcony. At the beginning when we arrived, we feel a little bit disappointed. However, after we settled down, we can find Triton is cozy quiet for us, not crowded and not noisy. So, generally speaking, Triton is a good hotel to worth recommending to friends.
Breadfast and the meals are so good. And the staffs of restaurant are so polite and provide the nice service. The location of the Triton is located at the beach. we can have a leisure walk after the dinner.

NetherlandsThe food, both breakfast and dinner was very, very basic and limited in choice. This was not at 4 star level at all, not even 3 stars, although the freshly fried eggs were a positive exception. Be aware the restaurant staff is very, very underpaid. They are all migrant workers and get about 2 free days a month and a salary of about 1 USD an hour (they work from 6;30 AM till 22:00 PM !, with a long 4 hour break. So be royal with tips. Although the room itself was nice , the sea view was mediocre, only to one side and overlooking a garbage belt and construction sides, so not a good view at all. The organization of the tours was chaotic mainly due to the reception. The tour guides themselves were great.
The restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful. The tour staff as well. Great guys. Most, though certainly not al of the reception staff as well. The room (we had the the luxe family or something room) was large but kind of made with cheaper materials. Not 4 star worthy, maybe on the lower end of 3 star. Maafushi seems to be a good choice to arrange tours and to sleep or shop, but for the rest, without doing a tour everyday it is not recommended to stay there.

Oman1- Refrigerator was not working then replaced next two day (new one cooling but ice melt when leave the room as no power card). Free water replaceable bottles provided but only one each day (supposed one for each adult). 2- Bed springs cause uncomfortable sleeping in room 704 (long usage required replacement). 3- Too noisy DJ during five hours late evening organized by hotel restaurant cause horrible pain to ears & brain.
Hospitality on arrival, Location, Sea View, Swimming pool on roof, Acceptable continental breakfast and Friendly staff.

ChinaAll perfect!
Staff are so good. I arrived in the late night, and they packed dinner box and delivered to my room. Also when I checked out in the morning and went out for fish tank activity, they gave me a shower room at the spa center for free. They also arranged special setting for Friday dinner on the beach with live music. The services are so good and far beyond my expectations.

I stayed at Triton Seaview Maldives for a short vacation. The location is definitely a highlight—right by the beach with lovely sea views. The rooms were clean and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. However, I found the stay a bit overpriced for what was offered. The food options were quite limited, especially if you're staying for more than a couple of days. There aren’t many varieties to choose from, which made meals feel repetitive. While the staff were generally polite and the rooftop pool was a nice feature, I feel the overall experience could be improved, especially in terms of dining and value for money.

Saudi ArabiaCheck the pictures before you book the room. Our room description said it’s a sea view room however it was not sea facing and the sea was visible from the balcony. This took us a bit of time to discuss with the management who gave us an option to upgrade the room by paying for extra amounts. After much discussions the hotel gave us a room on the higher floor and the view was a bit better from it.
Clean and well maintained property. Most of the staff were cooperative.

BrazilBeautiful hotel and great service, but the island and transfer experience need improvement. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely views, very clean facilities, and an extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Everyone was friendly and tried their best to assist us throughout our stay, and we really appreciated their hospitality. However, we had some issues with the transfer service provided by the hotel. When we arrived in Malé, we disembarked and passed through immigration right on time, without any delays on our end — but the transfer boat had already left without us. There was nothing we could have done to be any faster. We ended up having to wait around 45 minutes for the next boat. On our departure, the transfer was also delayed by about half an hour, and we had to wait again. It was frustrating and not the kind of experience we expected in terms of logistics. We almost lost our connection… Additionally, we were disappointed with the general condition of Maafushi island. There is a lot of construction going on, and sadly, a significant amount of trash — including plastic bottles — can be found all around, even on the main beaches like Bikini Beach. It was a negative surprise and really affected the overall impression of the island. We suggest that the hotels on the island work together on regular beach cleanups to help preserve the natural beauty of Maafushi. It’s a lovely destination that deserves better care — for both visitors and the environment.

AlgeriaTriple Room size is a bit small for 3 adults, the shower too! (We didn’t get the same as the picture with a glass bathroom window)
Located near the local beach (not bikini beach) which is decent for families and people who don’t fancy crowds and parties. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff were professional too.

RomaniaThe view wasn’t as expected because of the algae. The towels and bed sheets had stains on them but we asked for some clean ones and they changed them. A lot of ants but it’s common problem for an island so don’t keep food in the room. They didn’t gave us 2 room cards and we had no functional fridge in the room, the fridge was at the reception.
We liked the staff and the room, the food from room service, room layout, the pool, air conditioning

IrelandAreas for improvement. 1) The hotel towels (beach and bathroom) were warn out. 2) The buffet dinner and breakfast could do with improvement and more options. Some food weren't adequately covered at breakfast with plenty flies feasting on some of the dishes served to guests. 3) The pool on the 8th floor was extremely dirty on both days you couldn't even see the pool tiles, although the lady at reception said it was cleaned daily in the evening (see the attached photo and contrast between Triton Prestige Pool and the one on the island). 4) A coffee shop with fresh pastries would've been nice on the ground floor seating area. 5) Triton watersports centre could do with a small changing cubicle and outdoor showers for guests who participate in water sports, also because it is a distance from the bikini beach boundaries, we were expected to enter and exit the beach area to the sport centre fully clothed so not to anger the locals. 6) The life jackets at the sports centre were very dirty and smelly, making us feel uncomfortable and irritable.
We were assisted at Velana Airport and were welcomed by Triton Prestige staff at the marina in Maafushi. Our luggage was collected fand transported to the hotel, while we walked for about 10 minutes to hotel. Our hotel room was well serviced. Waiting staff at breakfast and dinner were kind and accommodating. The hotel has a dedicated watersport kiosk facility, that was reasonably priced compared to prices in the resorts and fun. We enjoyed 4 memorable water activities.

AustraliaShould give 2 key cards so one can stay in the power and one can be taken with you so the staff don’t have to let you up each time which they are happy to do each time but we felt a bit annoying.
It was very clean and comfortable. We had a partial sea room which overlooked the ocean on one side of the balcony. Absolutely gorgeous staff! They helped us so much and were so kind, hotel and restaurant staff.

EgyptTwo things I didn't like and I told the management about: 1) I booked Honeymoon room which was supposed to have full sea vue according to their description (pictur) on Booking.com but I found it partial sea view (they only have two honeymoon rooms in the hotel). They should be clear on Booking.com that one room is full sea view (which was occupied by other guests when I arrived) and the other room is partial sea view. I have to say partial sea view was also very good view but still it is not same picture of sea view on Booking.com 2) sometimes they have very loud DJ in the dinner time, so even if the guest doesn't like it, he will have to attend ot to take the dinner! They should provide quite places for guests who don't want this loud joisy DJ
Nice place, friendly staff, nice restaurant and good food Large comfortable clean rooms Nice activity excursion center Helpful staff who listen to your requests I like the place. Thanks to all staff

NetherlandsTaxes raised unexpectedly thruout the years, and it was a lil surprise since we did not pay much attention to them in the booking.
This was our second time on Maafushi, and this hotel was a nice surprise. We loved the breakfast outside, the room was clean every day, staff always helped us with the comfy sunbeds to the bikini beach. They also had a nice Xmas dinner party, and we enjoyed it as well.

United Kingdom1. The hotel isn't noise proof (as claimed) with their doors and walls, so a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms and corridor can be heard, which prevents a good night sleep, although you do get used to it. 2. The reception staff need to be better organised and perhaps get some customer service training. They try their best but a few of them can be little unprofessional in their approach 3. Be careful with the offers on excursions for children (2 - 12). They play on that and if your child hasn't reached their 13th birthday yet you will be forced to pay full price 4. Cost of transfer from Male (Velana airport) to island can vary. We booked in advance to avoid issues, but the earliest boat pickup was only available from 7:30am (so had to wait for 1.5hrs before boat arrived) and then we noticed that on the spot they are offering cheaper travel - so what it the advantage of booking ahead. 5. The beach in front of the hotel isn't used and is empty (as no bikini allowed). This is not something obvious when booking but the "bikini" beach is 5mins walk.
1. Location of the hotel is on a island with local communities, which allows you to see first hand day-to-day life in Maldives and visit local business (shops/restaurants) and not just confined to a resort. You can still do the day excursions to those resorts and experience the high-end too 2. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and genuine and want to do their best to look after you and cater for your needs. 3. Nice and clean hotel and good value for money if you are NOT wanting to spend 10k+ on those high-end resorts typically seen on a poster/Instagram photo when you think of Maldives (wooden hut above the pristine ocean water) 4. The infinity pool on the 8th floor has amazing views of the ocean and the island but it is limited to 8 or so deck chairs. if you pick the right time, you can normally find seats and take in the authentic beauty of the island/location.

AlbaniaWe had the main AC item or machinery near our room. That specific room is a lot noisy during the night and it is annoying.
In general it was a good place. Even though around Maafushi there is a lot of construction going on! It had all the facilities needed, comfy, with a Sea View etc. A little bit pricey though.
