How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe had an amazing experience at Summer Vibes Hotel! The whole team is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to fulfill every request. The hotel is in an exceptional location, right next to a beautifully (private) beach (sunbads, shower, towels,...). Breakfast is simple, but fresh. Their diving trips are fantastic – the hotel owner and his friend are both very experienced and know the best spots for diving. They truly go out of their way to make sure guests are happy and having a great time.

Awful decking decking outside the room which was allocated to us. Within minutes of arriving, the poorly maintained deck, splintered my foot. Limited breakfast for vegans or vegetarians.
We have maintained the place same day , and we make sure all the rooms and property were well maintained

Verified reviewWe enjoyed staying here so much that we didn’t want to leave. Summer Vibes has their own private beach so you can sun bathe in peace. Beds were comfortable and the room has everything you need, even a fridge. Big special thanks for Hassan as he is always helpful and smiling. He met us on the dock when we arrived and helped with our luggage from and to the terminal when we left. He’s up super early in the morning making breakfast, cleaning during the day and cooking dinner in the evening!

This was one of 4 hotels during our travels to Maldives and turned out to be the worst experience. I made a big mistake by booking 4 whole nights there after having read all great reviews about that place.. since then I never trust booking reviews… The room 4pax was a complete nightmare. It looked like Soviet hospital with no natural light, lots of mold and clogged shower, the beds felt as hard as bricks. I guess this room has never been renovated since hotel opening 15 years ago. Only one socket for 4pax (!), no hooks, air-conditioner was rattling all the night as if it will explode sooner or later. We couldn’t wait to escape from that nightmare. We were so happy to move to neighboring hotel Palm Ray Rasdhoo, which was like a heaven with fresh big modern rooms and great hospitality from the owner. And it cost us much cheaper than this bunker room. Do not book excursions from the hotel, they twice more expensive than their actual price! The owner is solely interested in making money rather than offering great service

Verified reviewStaff made me feel so welcome and were always available to help with anything I needed. The room was spacious and clean. The location is absolutely perfect – right on a quiet and private beach with turquoise waters that were perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The hotel helped arrange all my activities, from snorkeling trips to fish feeding and also night fishing with the locals. I had an unforgettable time and I definitely recommend staying here.

The lovingly and creatively designed garden invites you to sunbathe and snorkel on the reef, from which you can experience a fantastic sunrise. 😍🌅🏝️ Hassen always comes up with something great for a Maldivian breakfast. After the fishing tour, he lovingly and perfectly prepared the fish he caught himself.🤗 The boss and all the staff at the accommodation are warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. No window in the room, stained bedsheets. The breakfast got served quite hastily and the content was quite basic (and boring). One of the worst breakfast in the Maldives.
