Meeru was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive, and always available to assist. Stayed at the northern end which is adults only and we enjoyed this aspect. The food available was absolutely delicious with lots of choices and we looked forward to every meal . We had a water front villa with both deck outside furniture and sun lounger on the sand, like our own piece of paradise, an easy few steps to the water

However, on a slightly disappointing note, we were quite disheartened when all shark snorkeling tours were canceled due to not meeting the minimum requirement of 20 participants. Furthermore, we were not permitted to arrange our own external tour, even after highlighting that it was our only remaining option.

My wife and I recently had the immense pleasure of staying at Meeru Resort in the Maldives, and we are absolutely thrilled to share that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This resort truly is a slice of paradise, offering everything one could dream of for a perfect tropical escape. The natural beauty surrounding Meeru is simply breathtaking. The sea is an incredible shade of turquoise, crystal clear and inviting, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The beaches are pristine, with soft white sand that stretches for miles, making every stroll a pure delight. We spent countless hours just soaking in the stunning views and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Beyond the incredible natural setting, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by the entire staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. We would like to extend a special thank you to a few individuals who made a significant impact on our experience: Gloria,Della,Bista, Suzain and Elena. The entire team at Meeru Resort deserves immense praise for their hard work and dedication. Their commitment to guest satisfaction is evident in every interaction. We left Meeru Resort feeling completely rejuvenated and with memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking for an exceptional resort experience in the Maldives with stunning natural beauty and truly wonderful staff, look no further than Meeru. The breakfast and other meals at the resort were absolutely superb—my family and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Each day brought a fresh and delightful variety of menu choices that kept our dining experience exciting and memorable. They upgraded and provided two separate villas to us. The resort’s location, about 45 minutes away from the airport, added to the charm of our trip. The speedboat ride was an experience in itself, especially on our return journey, which became even more thrilling as we navigated through the aftermath of a thunderstorm.

We took a full board booking and it covered all 3 meals in only one of the restaurants. It would have been better if the full board gave options to the other restaurants within the resort too.

Meeru Island resort is definitely the best hotel we ever stayed in. It was our first time on Maldives and we experienced it as a little heaven. The resort is located at about 45-60 min on the speedboat from the Male international airport. The staff met us at the airport and we were welcomed with water. Then at the reception we had an amazing welcome from the staff, the check in was automatically made while we enjoyed their welcome cold tea, then on a buggy you can get directly to the bungalow, the suitcases were brought separately from the staff. The bungalow was very cozy decorate in a tropical atmosphere, very clean - they cleaned it twice daily. On the porch we could enjoy the ocean under the umbrella or you could move the other two sun beds into the sun. The water entrance was so calm and beautiful, the water very transparent and a lot of fish, even some small sharks could be seen, but they are not at all aggressive. It was interesting to enjoy the shower outside, there was also a jacuzzi, though we did not use it. On this island there is only one resort and we can really enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There are 2 big restaurants and 4 smaller ones a la carte available with reservation. But for the all inclusive packages everything was included, all restaurants - the food is very tasty and varied - each day different cuisine at the big restaurants, approximatively all drinks - including a selection of cocktails, juices, spirits, wines and also the drinks from the mini bar inside the bungalow which were daily added, also the package includes daily snorkeling to the local reef on a separate boat - you only have to rent the equipment if you do not have your own - but we went also directly in front of our beach - there were also a lot of smaller fishes and young corals, on another part of the beach we also could admire some manta rays. The staff is very friendly and professional and really trying to make your stay unforgettable.

I didn't like the first villa I was allocated with (Beach Villas). I had to change and pick up something more suitable to my tastes.

The island is beautiful, with clean beaches and clear water. The villa I stayed in was comfortable and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a peaceful stay. The food at the buffet was good, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. I particularly enjoyed the Maldivian-themed dinner night. There were also a variety of activities available. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly during my stay. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time by the sea.

the extra costs, I mean the price you see on booking is going to be different when adding the boat shuttles, drinks and other fees as well, it gets expensive. Also, I was not happy to hear that drones are not allowed, I'm a professional photographer and I would've loved to capture some nature beauty there, but unfortunately it was not allowed at all!

Clean, organized, paying attention to details, very helpful and friendly staff, food is very good with a lot of options.

Wish we had booked a longer stay 🥲

We had an amazing time at Meeru! Even though we’ve been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places, this truly felt like a dream vacation—absolutely spectacular. The resort has fantastic facilities, from a well-equipped gym to a tennis court, soccer field, and even padel. I spent more time exploring the island than in the gym though—walking around paradise is a workout in itself! The staff were wonderful, and both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were excellent. We were lucky to be upgraded from a beach villa to a water villa, and I have to say, it made a world of difference. If it’s within your budget, I’d definitely recommend splurging on a water villa or one with a private pool. We saw so many sharks and colorful fish right from our deck—it was magical. We also went for the all-inclusive option. Even though we’re not big drinkers, it felt worth it just for the peace of mind. Everything is priced in USD and things can get quite expensive, so it was nice not having to think about every meal or drink. All in all, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

As with many of resorts, plastic being washed up onto the beach. Even though the seaweed was racked up daily it did not seem as though the plastic was picked up.

Staff is great except this one yoga instructor. She was very rude, and ruined my night. She needs to understand that some of the people who joined the yoga sessions have previous injuries, and can’t do certain yoga pose. When I couldn’t do the pose, she asked me to leave the session if I can’t follow her instructions. Yoga supposed to be welcoming people of all ages, body types, abilities, and backgrounds, and it's designed to be adaptable to individual needs. She needs to understand the most important element of yoga practice.

We got the water front villa #528, and it was located in the perfect location. Very close to the adult only restaurant as well as the smaller reception. The snorkeling in front of our villa was good. Meeru is a very good budget friendly resort compared to the other resort. I highly recommended this place.
