How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewHonestly speaking, staff was nice and polite and some sea creatures like nurse sharks and manta rays were visiting the harbour on a daily basis, it was pleasing to watch them. The isle itself is very small, but has some "infrastructure" like gift shops and a tiny hospital. Not so many people, never overcrowded. Coral reefs around are not impressive, but still alive...
Bathroom smells badly Something knocks on the roof all night No dairy-free options for food Food very basic and saucy, looks more like fast-food Dirty "canteen" and esp. table mats Some sewage smell next to the beach Usually very poor breakfasts - not so many options to choose from, very basic food Lunch might look even worse - like a wrap with loads of mayonnaise or some local sauce with chips Usually food is over fried Not easy to eat healthy Self-assessed as 4 star on B.com which is very far from reality. Closer to 3, or even 2+ stars Rooms and bathrooms require renovations... Not all photos provided are from this isle/hotel, some are taken in different locations... More to add...

Verified reviewLagoon Breeze Resort Plus factors are that this small little enclave of beach on a working island is clean and beautiful. The sea beautiful and an abundance of marine life can be seen whilst snorkeling. Staff are kind, friendly and helpful and always try their best to make everything as accommodating as possible. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and they gave us a lovely romantic dinner, decorating our room beautifully with red heart balloons and flowers.
BUT, please note that there is no pool, no gym, no TV, no alcohol, no resort coffee shops, no restaurants, music, and definitely no holiday atmosphere. There is nowhere else to eat on this small working island, except at this accommodation. Your only option is to choose half or full board; which gives you low quality and unhealthy food (Except the fish they serve) Breakfast consists of overcooked hard, boiled eggs, oats, sweet juice, dry toast and a few selective pieces of fruit. Every meal has bread and pasta to ‘fill you up’ and a small additional peace of protein. The rooms are very small (14 meter 2) but have good showers, a comfy bed and a lovely view of the ocean - only 2 minutes walk into the beautiful aquamarine ocean. Although there is Wi-Fi within the resort, it is sporadic and has no ability to stream. There is also a Mosque next door, which gives a very loud call to prayer five times a day. None of the above was falsely advertised. But you had to read in between the lines to clearly understand that all the above.

Verified reviewViews and Food were very nice. The staff were very friendly. They cater to every request. Excursions were splendid. When we went to Thoddoo island, owner’s sister came and gave us the trip till we were there. You can’t forget about fishing. A special shout out to chef.
There can be some improvement in internet. It works better in the restaurant area.

Verified reviewI like the feeling of being in a resort on a local island. The beach and beach chairs are in front of the rooms. You can be in a bikini the whole day, except for the restaurant. Even there just some easy cloths. Island is very small, but very relaxing. AC in the room was excellent, new, quite. Food was tasty. They could maybe have a buffet dinner instead of served. Really tasty scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Verified reviewBeautiful bikini beach with lovely snorkelling right off the resort. Great housekeeping service, very clean and efficient. Good options available in the restaurant. Very good wifi connection, especially for the Maldives!
A bit of a long boat ride to make it to the island, but absolutely worth the trip

Verified reviewEverything was really fine ... the only problem was the construction site nearby , 50 meters from the beach ...caused some noise and turbid water on the reef ( mid January 2024). So we have to move to the labour'islands
Dear Guest. thank you for your review.

The lack of some basic necessities such as full length mirrors and bin in the bedrooms, especially to cater for the needs of ladies.

Verified reviewThe service and attitude of the staff was exceptional. Albin went out of his way to make us comfortable and have a great holiday. The decoration and food that Arun prepared for my son's birthday made it very special. It was thrilling to feed the sharks and sting rays in the evening.
The water in the bathroom had a very weird smell and was unusable.

Verified reviewEverything was perfect, the beach, the sea, the room, the restaurant, the service. We'd really wish to come back to this place. And we are especially grateful to the managers of the hotel who were extremely understanding and helpful: we left something in the room while leaving for our next island, and the things were delivered to our new hotel, and very quickly!
Dear Guest. thank you for your time and the valuable review.

Verified reviewIt was a pleasure from start to finish! The Rooms are directly in front of the beach, the staff is lika a family and treats you as one of their members and no wish can’t be made reality. There is just too much to tell you can only see it with you own eyes. I will be coming back and continue diving in one of the nicest places in Maldives, if not he world! Hats of for the service and thanks to the staff who I will remember for a lifetime.
Dear guest. thank you for taking time to review our property and we hope to welcome you again

Verified reviewAbsolutely amazing place to chill out with your private beach. Staffs were so hospitable and helpful. Quite a long boat ride from Male but once you are there you will love it. Even better if you are a diver or wants to learn to dive! PADY dive school is on site. Few islands are located nearby to explore too.
None.
Dear Guest. thank you for your time and the valuable review.
