The only aspect that could be improved is the welcome service upon arrival on the island. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

Such a beautiful place it is literally paradise. We went on our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been better. From the service to the food to the drinks all of it was amazing I definitely recommend all inclusive because the cost can really add up if you’re spending out-of-pocket so I’m really happy we went with all inclusive option . Also the romantic pool villas are not as nice as the other overwater villas even though they’re more expensive. The standard overwater villas are in a nicer part of the island and the rooms are much nicer we had the privilege to stay at both but preferred the overwater villas without a pool. Besides, you don’t really need a pool when you’re on the Indian Ocean .

There are just not enough words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at Lux. It was simply beyond perfect. The staff were amazing from start to finish. Special thank you to Neesham the Duty Manager who went above and beyond for us after we went through flight disruption from Dubai, resulting in a missed connection. Also to Mo, one of the kind gentleman who drove us around on the hotel buggy. My daughter looked forward to every trip around the resort with him. The resort was absolutely stunning and picture perfect. We travelled in August and I was concerned it may rain every day but the weather was beautiful. We also experienced the most special dolphin trip and the food was beautiful. We will 100% return. THANK YOU LUX!

A very minor comment - it would have been nice to have had the menu in the restaurants rotate a bit. The meal options were a little repetitive, although the food was delicious.

The resort was beyond expectations. We were met by staff as soon as we landed in Male airport and we were looked after for the entire duration of the stay. The villa was stunning, as was the rest of the resort. The bars and restaurants were lovely and the beaches around the island were unbelievable. The gym was well equipped with cardio and strength equipment and there were plenty of classes too. This was our first visit to the Maldives and won't be our last, we would definitely come back to Lux.

Exceptional vacation, all employees very friendly, restaurant and bars very nice and delicious, never get the feeling that the island is crowded, in opposite. Room on the lagoon with swimming pool just exceptional. Sand beaches exceptional and snorkeling offer very good.

Our stay at Lux South Ari Atoll was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest smiles and outstanding hospitality. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. A special mention goes to Ahmed from the cleaning staff and Elena at reception, whose attention to detail and care truly enhanced our experience. While we won’t name everyone individually, we deeply appreciated the impeccable service across all restaurants and the efficiency of the shuttle drivers. Absolutely fantastic hotel, beautiful facilities and the staff were absolutely wonderful- cheerful, welcoming and friendly. I'd like to also give a particular shout out to the staff at the medical clinic. My husband was taken ill whilst we were there ( totally unrelated to the hotel I must add) and the medical team were amazing, and took great care of him. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the Maldives.

Everything was expensive.

Beautiful resort and facilities! Gorgeous pure white soft sand, clear torquoise waters, lush vegetation. So clean, tidy and immaculate. Great instagram opportunities. Good sized long island with many places where you can be isolated. Abundance of staff who were so helpful, friendly and conscientious. Having your own "assigned staff" contactable via Whatsapp was very helpful. Everything we needed was dealt with through our contact, Jovi. Great variety in eateries although very expensive in USD and 26% taxes. In room food delivery for USD$8++ ended up being the most effective for us. We really enjoyed the live mellow music and 2 for 1 cocktails at the East Bar Happy Hour. Highly recommend the whisky based Yamayaki and fruity Ikebana cocktails. We stayed in a Beach Pavilion for 3 nights (room 312) and Water Villa for 2 nights (room 431). We loved the Water Villa! It was so beautiful and well laid out. It was a dream to lie in bed and watch the sea through the huge glass panes. We were fortunate to not have much seaweed in the water around our villa and had uninterrupted sunset. Beds in both places were so comfortable and even though pillows collapsed, they were surprisingly supportive. It was quiet in both places despite having neighbours. We went on the free snorkeling tour about 10min boat ride away and there was a good amount and variety of fish. We hoped to catch sight of manta rays around the sea plane pier ~7:30pm but no luck on the nights we were there. Staff made my 50th birthday so special - birthday messages and flowers made of palm fronds, discount and upgrade offers, front table on the beach at Allegria for a delicious dinner (Tagliatelle Lobster recommended) with restaurant staff singing "Happy Birthday" and a delectable chocolate cake!!! So spoilt! As we take things slow, 5 nights wasn't enough at this paradise! Aside - faulty booking.com didn't upload Water Villa jpgs

My family of 4 adults had a splendid vacation at LUX South Ari Atoll! Staff were warm and friendly. We are especially grateful to Giada, for her prompt response and making every effort to personalise the activities for my family members during our 6D5N stay. There was an excellent spread of quality food. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the ice cream served by Masud at ICI. We enjoyed the complimentary outdoor photo shoot.
