How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

As passionate and experienced travelers, we can honestly say that this holiday was a dream come true from beginning to end – exactly what you would hope for from such a special place in the world like the Maldives. We’d especially like to highlight the incredibly warm and dedicated service provided by island host Ren. She went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt cared for – it truly felt like she could read our minds. Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a huge difference. The rooms and the entire resort were immaculate – beautifully maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed. We also really appreciated the freely available water dispensers across the island – a great and sustainable touch. One of the biggest (and most welcome) surprises was the effort the management made to arrange a room upgrade for us. The VIP area with its private bar, restaurant, and pool was stunning – and absolutely worth the extra cost! The dive center, led by dive instructor King, also left a lasting impression. Every single dive was a breathtaking, memorable experience. The excursions to the Fish Tank and shark snorkeling were truly spectacular and felt very personal. The entire team was always focused on safety and making sure guests had an amazing time. And if you’re into water sports – especially jet skiing or flyboarding – Bob will make sure you have the best possible experience. Thank you again, dear Ren and the entire Cinnamon Dhonveli team. Suggestion for improvement: The fitness center could use some updates, and it would be great to enjoy drinks in reusable cups instead of disposable paper ones – especially considering the otherwise strong focus on sustainability throughout the resort.

Verified reviewThe location is really nice just 20 mins from the airport. Staff was really nice specially , khaire from live counter and milanda from sunset cruise. All staff are actually really nice.
Food gets monotonous since we were in all inclusive. Somehow dessert section seems the same most of the days. Even main course seems similar. Live counter person is amazing he use to customise dishes for us and we really enjoyed his food. Specially pasta. Also we wanted 30 mins extra for check out since one important meeting came up. They agreed to give is 30 mins more in the room unfortunately, they forgot to inform the cleaning staff hence the staff came to room and kept ringing the bell. In the between such an important meeting it was so difficult to come and speak to the guy but I had to do it , since he wouldn’t leave until door gets answered. Later on realised the cleaning boy had no information about check out time extension.

This is not the first time we came to Maldives, and in terms of attention to the customer and care this level was unmatched. Some of the collaborators who made our experience unforgettable were Khair and Irut working at the restaurant grill, Kessela doing the juices and salads, nashooz and suleman who have been our attentive waiters, and our exceptional Island Host Ren. Buffet could offer more options. Also All Inclusive package is technically not all inclusive. You have to pay extra for most of the items.

The place is very ordinary and tends to be depressing. Most of the air conditioners are there, but they do not cool the place. The first room, a room above the water, was not good. It was terrifying because of the high waves. I did not sleep well. When I moved to another room, it was somewhat good, but the air conditioner was hot. The island in general was uncomfortable.

Her professionalism, genuine smile, and attention to detail made the entire check-in process seamless and welcoming. Mira speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish. During my stay, dining at Rehendhi Restaurant was always a pleasure—thanks in large part to Srimanti, the restaurant manager, whose hospitality and leadership made every meal an exceptional experience. One of the true highlights of my stay was the incredible live performances by Damaso and Adi—known affectionately as the duo. Their music brought an unforgettable energy and warmth to every evening. With Damaso’s rich, soulful voice and Adi’s infectious rhythm and charm, the pair created a vibrant atmosphere that had guests singing along, dancing, and completely immersed in the moment. Whether they were performing upbeat Latin classics, smooth romantic ballads, or acoustic covers, their chemistry and talent were undeniable. DJ Faye Vera truly knows how to set the vibe and elevate the energy of any evening. During my stay, she brought the perfect mix of beats, style, and charisma to the party—creating an atmosphere that was both electric and unforgettable. Verified reviewCinnamon Dhonveli is pure paradise — turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and stunning overwater villas make it a dream escape. The snorkelling right off the island is incredible, with colourful marine life all around. We had a brilliant Balinese massage at the spa and loved the live music and entertainment in the evenings — the crab race was a hilarious highlight! We loved sipping cocktails at Raalhu Bar while watching surfers take on the waves at Pasta Point — a unique and relaxing highlight. However, what truly sets this place apart is the amazing staff; Khair’s exquisite live cooking came with great banter and flavour every time. Sakeshala greeted us daily with warm smiles and delicious fresh salads from the bar. Bartenders Sanjaya, Frank, and Akila kept the drinks flowing and the energy high — always friendly, efficient, and full of charm. Nashooz and Sulaiman were wonderful waiters who made every meal feel special, and Srimanti showed such genuine care and hospitality, especially when my wife wasn’t feeling well — bringing her soothing drinks and checking in. Satarr welcomed us with beautiful flower necklaces, and Ren in management was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay — always available via WhatsApp to sort anything we needed. We also can’t say enough about the rest of the staff — everyone we passed greeted us with a smile and a friendly “hello,” adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the whole island. All in all, it was a truly unforgettable honeymoon. We left with full hearts and amazing memories — can’t wait to come back!

Verified reviewUpon arrival I was provided with a room upgrade for my entire stay. This was an extremely welcome experience as I have never stayed in the water villa prior to this. It was easy to get to via speedboat and still feels there are no other island around you.
