The weather and the quiet area (is far from the two mosques). Full stop. The rest was to forget.

It has been the most UNPLEASANT stay I've ever had, and I travel a lot. The owner of my guesthouse was the only one that didn't come to the harbour to receive his client - the rest of landlords did and one of them phoned him. He showed up few minutes later but never gave me a little tour around the island -while the other landlords accompanied their clients to bikini beach the first day or showed around a bit. This was nothing important, the worst was their behaviour (his and his wife): I asked for repairing the umbrellas at the beach (every hotel has its own ones) because you get really burnt as theirs are without palms leaves, and he never did ('today is cloudy'; 'the guy has no time', etc.). I had dietary requirements and he was complaining (!!!) about me asking for it. I asked for a second towel, he complained. And so on. The reception was a mess, and dirty (see pics). The daily cleaning of the bedroom was very poor. One day they didn't make the bed (he gave another excuse), another day he didn't change the towels. Bedsheets and towels were dirty (see pics). They never smiled, never tried to had a nice chat with the clients. They don't like their business, full stop. Plus: only 1 of a total of 5 showers was with hot water (not big issue bc weather it's very warm), there are cockroaches and a disgusting smell of pipelines in the corridor. Only a couple of bedrooms have windows facing to the garden, the rest of them face to the corridor (but they will tell you that all their bedrooms have 'windows'). No soundproof walls, as far as there were almost empty that was not a big issue, but please have it also in mind. I should have read the reviews before booking. And yes, 77 euro per night for one person (breakfast included) is very expensive for what they offer and how they make you feel. A couple that booked directly with them was paying 55 EU 2pax bf included. Make yourself a favor and choose another guesthouse.

    Property response:

We find ourselves confused for regarding the photos posted in your review, particularly those capturing our lobby at midnight after everyone has gone to sleep and uncovered beds/pillows. We want to understand if there might be a specific reason for portraying the guesthouse in a negative light. We offer a tour to very guest on arrival, and so we did for you as well. Despite the offer, you opted to rest and left independently. It's important to highlight that you were only charged in accordance with the details on the booking.com invoice. As a family-run business, our goal is to provide the best service possible, even if we may not have all the luxuries of a 5-star establishment. Every effort was made to accommodate your needs, including the provision of breakfast as per your request. Our breakfast hours, from 7 am to 9 am, encourage guests to specify their preferred time for breakfast to ensure freshness of the meal. However, it was observed that you consistently arrived later than your requested time and the time-frame we have established for breakfast. While we can not always have long conversations with you as we have responsibilities of attending to all in-house guests. and we do daily tasks such as changing towels, making beds, and cleaning rooms are conscientiously carried out. Cleaning your room was skipped on one occasion to avoid any disturbance, as we did not want to intrude you while you were staying in. Despite your feedback describing perceived service issues, it's noteworthy that you expressed a desire to extend your stay by 7 more nights. Unfortunately, we had to decline due to limited availability. We appreciate your review and genuinely seek to understand better why our service was perceived as unsatisfactory, especially in light of our consistent efforts to provide you with the best treatment possible.

Very nice homestay. Extremely clean and modern furniture , nice breakfast Maldive style and fresh juice. The owner picked us up from public ferry from Matheveri. Nice snorkeling close from homestay, relaxed atmosphere at Bikini beach, which is in walking distance, Avoid N2 coffeehouse, take meals at Ambaa restaurant with tower view. They not serve meals between 15.00 and 17.30 . There two divibg centers.

Nothing. It is allright . Only bed not so wide.

I have mixed feelings related to this guesthouse. My personal feeling was that the owner is more businessman than kind person. I have doubts about treating his kitchenmaid.

If you want to relax and enjoy a quiet place, this is the place to stay. Your privacy is respected by everyone at Asaa and the community as well. The place is very clean and the staff exceptionally helpful they will bent over backwards to assist you with whatever you need.

We loved everything. But just remember to bring mosquito spray with.

Nice-decorated guest house with mini garden view. The continental breakfast is simple but tasty. They don’t cook so better you have lunch and dinner in the local restaurant. The owner and staffs were friendly, helpful, and caring customer service. As my friend experienced bad seasickness, the owner offered a coconut drink and a tuna soup which helped her recovery.

Great room size, but sheets were stained and old. The bathroomware was rusty, poor hot-water system and weak water flow (the owner has informed will replace and fix it), and weak wifi (better get your tourist 4G simcard). WATCH OUT, please be extra careful of being charged for something that I have never been informed of. For example: 1. The guest house has arranged the transport and informed me the cost for a speed boat will be $65 /pp/single way and take 1 hr 45mins. However, there was bad weather circumstance + extremely rough sea (early September, their rainy season) which led us to 3 hours trip on a public speed boat (3 stops), plus we had to take another ride from a nearby local island to be able to arrive Feridhoo (another 30 mins). When we arrived at the guest house, they gave us a bill with an additional charge of $50 for 2ppl without informing us in advance. Which cost us ($65 x 2) + $50 = $180 for transportation/ one way. It frustrated me as they did not inform me about the additional charge even though we kept in contact on the way. 2. We stayed 4 nights then my friend wants to move to resorts for 2 nights, plus experience the seaplane. I was able to arrange with the nearby resort with one-way seaplane transfer. The guesthouse owner suggested another resort and he offered to handle the booking and arrange transport for me. In the end, the bill, he charged me an additional $120 for his own services fee. It was ridiculous ripped off where I can able do myself and I still let him do it as I am aware he will get some commission fee from the room rate, but I am happy to pay as soon as he matched the price I found. After negotiating, I only paid him an additional $67 to match the room price that I found.
