It’s walking distance from the beach but in a same time it’s hidden from crowded places and from the main road. Which makes it super quiet, calm environment. View of the place is spectacular - from one side I saw mountain from another ocean! Host Jean- Pierre is super helpful and hospitable. Place is clean and housekeeper visits and keeps it clean for guests. Stayed there for 5 days but felt like at home.

Very pleasant host - Jean-Pierre who welcomed us on arrival and gave us information about local amenties - restaurants/bars. Powerful AC, very clean pool and comfy bed! Shared kitchen had a large fridge and had all the essentials Plenty of room for parking. Very peaceful. The nearby SuperU is huge and well stocked!

The bathroom could use a few hooks to hang towels after use. We got directed by Google maps down some dead-end/private roads in Tamarin. There is not alot of street lighting away from the main road, Jean-Pierre advised us to drive to/from the local restaurants, which we did, but we were quite suprised about!

Air conditioning did not work properly. Had to turn off as too cold and not adjustable. Our room had the view to a tennis court.

All in all, this was a nice place to stay. The owner/host was lovely and was a great source of information since he had been born on the island and had also lived on Reunion for many years. He also went out of his way to help me - I had not rented a car - by offering to give me a ride to the supermarket (nice big one about 25 minutes away on foot) and beach (La Preneuse public beach is about 35 minutes on foot) and by dropping me off where he knew I would be able to find a taxi when I moved on to the next place I was staying. The breakfast was simple but sufficient, the bed was comfortable, with a maid making it for me every morning and the bathroom was also really big , though really tall people may need to duck going into the toilet or shower. I also had a lovely little covered terrace to sit on, which was nice when it was raining.

This is just informational and not a specific dislike. The room I had shared a living and kitchen space with another room. For me this was fine because the young couple in the other room were quiet and, although they used the kitchen to cook their dinner each evening, they were happy to socialise when I wanted to use the kitchen, but it may be problematic if the neighbours are noisy. Also, be aware that Google maps is a work of fiction in this location because the place has seen a lot of development in the past few years, but that's not the fault of the property.

The breakfast was simple but lovely. The host was very nice and friendly. The pool was nice and the rooms big enough. Would stay here again!

Maps show that you can walk places in 10 minutes this is not true due to construction. You really need transportation but once you have that all is close :)

Fantastic host and staff. Great location and clean room. Free parking on site and close to the beach plus restaurants in Tamarin. Also close to shopping centres.

Location, luminous and big apartment, kindness of the host and staff, sea view (sunsets)

In the morning, already 8am, noise coming from the tennis court or garden maintenance. The 2 bedroom apartment has a squash court just below and there lessons are also in the morning and evening time

Thank you for the great stay. The apartment was comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. The breakfast was basic but good.

My friend and I are super happy with this accommodation. We loved our host, Jean-Pierre. He really took great care of us, we enjoyed having morning conversations with him during breakfast. He gave amazing advice for places to visit around the island. We also enjoyed learning about his life and Mauritius. He was also very helpful, if we had a problem or needed assistance. Location is great, if you have a car. It is in a quiet street and you even see the ocean a little bit. It is very green, with loads of plants. There is also a small pool :)

The only thing that we would have loved to have would be a bit more storage space next to the bed.

Good price, location and nice room. Jean Pierre was very friendly and let me use the room after check out as I had a late flight. Would happily recommend

Huge space, few guests felt nice and private, lovely facilities, clean amenities, incredibly welcoming and kind host, great location in a fun town, which itself is well situated within the country - honestly my favourite stay anywhere, ever! Thanks so much JP!!!

Property was great, only minor improvements would be: more utensils provided for cooking, and not sure if the floor is vacuumed as a part of its daily clean

This place is amazing for exploring this part of island. We had every day very tasty breakfaest. There is nice swimming pool, tennis court and squash court and also amazing view :) Owner Mr Pierre is such nice and friendly person. As former tennis player and tennis couch he like every sport. We definitely recommend this place and i hope we will return one day :)

Jean pierre is really kind and helpful. He helped us plan our hikes and days out and gave us local advice. The location is perfect for exploring black river national park and chamerel. We hired a car so this was ideal. The shared kitchen space is perfect if you want to eat at the guest house. The pool is a very welcome addition after a long hot day exploring.

The location near the mountains means mosquitos. Lots. We were prepared and this is to be expected but worth a mention. Also, no restaurants within easy walking distance. A short drive to eateries.
