This was a super hotel. The RIU hotel group have the 'all-inclusive' experience as good as it gets. We all very much enjoyed our stay, the facilities, the food and the drink were great.

The room did not meet the expectations that were set based on pictures from booking.com, and while I was promised that I will be provided a room with a better view from what was visible in booking.com (these discussion and the confirmation came through booking.com and I have it on email), I was told that the hotel cannot provide what was promised and that this was due to an issue between booking and the hotel. So the "free upgrade" was promised by booking and not by the hotel. This was the summary from the reception when I checked in This immediately downgraded the experience as the view of the room was not even close to what was visible in the pictures while booking the room through booking com. I asked for a room change and the hotel suggested an alternative room but neither that lived up to the expectations so I decided to avoid packing again and moving.

Staff was good. The people there made the difference to our stay :)

We upgraded our room to be apart of the elite club, we were supposed to get a welcome gift as mentioned and a champagne however we did not receive this which was disappointing as we paid for that. We asked the staff as well as the reception a few times and they kept saying we would receive however we still did not. When we were checking out, the guy at reception said all he can do is provide an empty beach bag (the bag we were supposed to receive upon entering our elite room).

The property was really clean. Great value for money. The staff makes you feel welcome. Cool part is having access to the Rui Turquoise hotel as well.

I think that the entertaining program should be adapted to the winter schedule, the sunset is at 17H30 and the shows start at 21H30, which for some people is too late, especially if you have an excursion booked the next day and you need to wake up at 5 or 6 AM. I didn't find the entertainment during the day very attractive to be honest, there was not even music playing at the pool ( except during the aqua gym classes). The coffee at breakfast is bad, I had to wait for the bar to open so that I can get a proper espresso or cappuccino.

The hotel is located in a quiet location, everything was well organized, food was very good and the staff was very attentive and ready to help.

I booked 2 "Suites" described as 1 Living Room, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom. In fact the living room is in the bedroom, 1 large room - so not a suite. I asked for two rooms next to each other, I was given 4012 and 4013 which are not side by side - they are in 2 different blocks. We paid for plunge pools with the room but were not able to be side by side because the rooms were not side by side. We stayed 3 nights but were unable to book restaurants as you need to book 2 days in advance - not told before we visited. I had a dead mouse in my room on the second night. One evening a maid walked straight into the room without knocking. Exclusive Restaurant for breakfast with Elite Club - couldn't find it and ate in the buffet all the time. Live music - often advertised but often never happened.

We did not know before that the al a carte restaurants needed to be pre-booked well in advanced. We were not able to find a spot for any of the 3 night we were there. However, the buffet in the main restaurant was always available and good.

Facilities and pool were great, staff was friendly, and the food and drinks were very good and varied everyday.

The food was disappointing as there was only one vegetarian option in each of the a la carte restaurants, and they were not great options, in fact two of the restaurants served us the exact same thing. This meant that we had to eat at the buffet restaurant a lot, and we prefer a la carte. The options at the buffet restaurant were good, but quality could have been a little better. This is not really the hotel’s fault, but we were surprised that most of the guests were a lot older than us. There were hardly any guests in our age bracket (30s) which we found a bit odd. Most were 50+.

Loved the location, loved that it was adults only, drinks options were very good (Elite Club), rooms were comfy, and the Elite Club pool was great.

This is a big hotel so if you have mobility issues request a room close to reception. Food in buffet was not always hot just warm.

Easy check-in, room a good size and bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. The pool area was clean towels were provided and ample sunbeds for everyone. Having speciality restraunts was great as think buffet could get monotonous, but saying that there was a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. Drinks were good quality and having the coffee bar was perfect for us that don't drink alcohol. The ground were immaculately kept and very pretty. The beach had plenty of loungers and trees for shade, just mind the coconuts 😅.

Towards the end of our stay our room and bathroom was not cleaned as thoroughly as we would have liked. We also could never reserve one of the specific restaurants.

Property was wonderful, we enjoyed the adults only areas.

AC did not work properly even after asking for it to be fixed. Getting access to the restaurants through the app did not work and only after complaining at one of the restaurants where there happened to be someone who helped us.

Overall it was pleasant hotel and surroundings. Food was adequate and good selection at the buffet . We did the 7 waterfalls day trip which was the highlight.

Advertising a junior suite with a private swimming pool is a bit devious, and the hotel should be clearer on this. The private swimming pool area is awesome. The hotel needs to optimise its towel service and better enforce that the area is used only by those who paid for it. Some selfish guests reserved cabanas by placing a book or a hat on the loungers and never pitched up. This type of "dormant" and selfish reservations should be better managed by the hotel.

Great breakfast with many options. Not having unruly kids running around the dining room was a bonus.

Vegetarian options are limited. At least Indian curries were there every day. Breakfast is especially poor as only bread and cheese sandwiches you can make as we don’t eat eggs. Otherwise, plenty of meat dishes every day. Fruits, cakes and ice cream galore.

Modern facilities with beautiful interior design throughout. The beach and swimming pool have plenty of lounges. Room minibar has plenty of soft drinks, water and beer stocked up every day. The room was cleaned everyday. Live singing at the bar in the evening was delightful. Vikish at the reception, David the porter, Victor the server were just a few who made the stay pleasant.

The WiFi connection was a nightmare almost all the time in the rooms. For good connection, one had to be at the reception area or the various bars. The reception staff were very unhelpful when it came to basic guest requests. We booked and paid for 3 people in 1 room but things like cups;gowns; towels and etc were only for 2 guests. We had to make several requests to the reception to assist with this. The telephones in the rooms did not work at all and so each time we had an issue in the room we had to walk +-10mins to the reception since our room was located on the furthest side to the reception.

The food was absolutely amazing. The speciality restaurants were an absolute treat! The service at the bar and the bartenders were so good and had a wide variety of non-alcoholic cocktails. Special shoutout to Kavish :) The resort is absolutely beautiful and pictures don’t do it any justice. Every corner is absolutely gorgeous.

I would like to have had some basic information at check in- this was quick but nothing was explained. You cannot book restaurants with shorter stays which is not great - it’s not like you pay any less for shorter stays which is!

Great stay, hotel new with good facilities and enough pool /lounger ratio to size. Super comfy beds and nice room decor.
