Private island is very quiet and beautiful, nice beach and beach service, heated pool. The trip to the island is enjoyable. Snorkeling experience is good. A la carte breakfast on the beach for frangipani guests. Facial massage is of excellent quality, my face was hydrated immediately after and for days after. We booked beach dinner, it was not very comfortable because of lack of light (2 of 3 lights ran out of battery) and bugs, but the staff tried everything to make us happy, bringing more lights, and made us a local tea at the end of meal with fresh ingredients from the garden.

A lot of things are not working: kettle, hairdryer, pen. We have to ask staff to bring a new one. Even if they did immediately, it was not very convenient. We booked one of the most expensive types of room, so we expect things work when we want to use them. During windy season, the isolation in the room is not very good, you can hear the wind the whole night due to the position of the room - right above the ocean. Kids in the restaurants are too loud, some even roll on the floor with bare feet and no one stopped them. Guests are obviously disturbed by the noise. Very limited availability in the Indian and Japanese restaurants. Even with a stay of 3 nights, we didn't manage to have a table there. Breakfast at the buffet restaurant is not very good. Body massage that they recommended at the spa - Aloe vera wrap is not very useful for healing sunburn. In hotels at this level, we expect staff to do extra and exceed customers' expectations. Most staff didn't.

Good view excellent food options good staff

This hotel would of been 10/10 if it was just adults, this hotel isn’t baby friendly. We got out in a room which was 3 floors high with a 7 month old baby it was a risk hazard especially with the wet floor after the rain we did raise our concerns and was advised only option was upgrade of a room at a cost of 200 euros per night. Our room was located very close to the live music and that caused issues with our baby sleeping at night. We had minor issues with the housekeeping team coming in with their shoes on and was promised that they won’t do again however it still continued one more time. Overall it’s a nice hotel for couples and a family with children who can walk. There were so steps there even on the ground level at night time with limited lights on the footpath carries a trip hazard. I hope this info is relayed onto the next customer before they decide to take a young family there.

The ladies from the spa, very polite and the massage and the sauna were very good.

Unfortunately, the hotel does not take into account the number of hotel guests. The first day we arrived the electricity & water failed throughout the hotel. In fact, we could not shower, go to the toilet or eat. The whole hotel was in shut-down. We first thought it was just our room to which we went to the front desk and were told to get the essentials ready because they were going to evacuate us to another hotel. We were asked to stay in the room. We stayed there for about 3h to which we started to get really hungry because it had passed 8pm. No one came to pick us up until we met a security guard on the way. It was pitch black because all the outside lights were out. The evac took quite a long time, we were so tired, hungry and especially after a long flight of more than 20h. Finally when it was our turn to be evacuated the electricity came back, so we stayed at the hotel. It was 23:30 at night. Furthermore, the room we had booked did not match the pictures on booking.com. We were promised the new room the next day at 2pm, unfortunately after 2pm it was still not ready, at 4pm neither and we didn't get our room until 8pm. Unfortunately the room was not clean, as you can see from the pictures. The food in the buffet restaurant is of terrible quality, it is better to eat a la carte in the other restaurants. The staff is not sincere, not well trained and it seems like they were reading a script. There were vendors walking around the hotel harassing you with necklaces and activities. We booked the so called frangipani suite for the private beach and private pool. Nothing could be further from the truth. The beach is shared with the Hibiscus suites and there is no private pool at all. There is only 1 adult pool and that is a shared pool. This pool was always overcrowded. The water in the adultpool was not heated in the winter, so it was very cold and not to enjoy.

Beach facilities excellent, included breakfast high quality. Overall food was of high quality.

Lots of new staff and English was not their strong point with many examples of lost in translation issues. Food and beverages prohibitively expensive. Journey from airport to the hotel was via a narrow winding road and took an hour.

We got upgraded which was a nice touch. The suite we had was big and comfortable. Beach BBQ on Friday was a nice touch. The kids club staff were amazing with my kids and the gift they sent them was appreciated. We also loved interacting with the turtles. All staff were generally very friendly and welcoming. Loved the free boats to the private island and Ile Aux Cerfs.

Not much of a complaint but the upgraded suite was in a more adult area (near the spa and adult only pool) so was far from the family pool and the kids club.
