Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe place on the whole is in need of a face lift. The furniture in the restaurant is pretty dated. It definitely is in need of a new baby chair though. The breakfast is nice but it was the same everyday. Could do with a change. They could introduce a kids play area given the space that is available.
Located less than 5 minutes from Mont Choisy beach. Staff are pleasant and courteous (Dev, Sara, Tanya, Safeer) to name a few. They readily accommodate my special request during breakfast and dinner. For breakfast the option of fried eggs, omelet or boiled egg is not available but Sara made sure my needs were met and likewise over dinner, Dev and was kind to deliver our dinner to our room especially since we were with our infant daughter and it became a bit difficult for us to go to the restaurant and have dinner as a family. The beds are very comfortable and I must say I had to most peaceful sleep during my stay. The restaurant is an outdoor one with a beautiful view of the ocean. Breakfast with a view…loved it. Then you have nature at its best, while you dine you will have visitors of a different kind, not humans though, but sparrows who are so bold and friendly like the Mauritians that they feed off your hands. The croissants are freshly prepared every morning and I kid you not, they are the best I have ever had. Thanks to Sara and Vania, they need and award for making thr best croissants.

Czech RepublicBreakfast not very wide offer, no vegetables, mostly fruit and what I consider as a big disadvantage is that you have to carry the breakfast quite far away and walk the stairs to the place where you eat it. It’s not convenient at all and the management should maybe consider some better solution. Also the sofas in the restaurant are old and dirty.
Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Pool is fine, nice garden.

IsraelThe place is a bit run down. It doesn’t look as good as in the pictures. The breakfast is a bit basic (although tasty, to be fair) The bar prices are extortionate, which might explain why I didn’t see anyone at the bar during my stay. The rooms are all described as sea view, although many aren’t.
The location is great, the bed was comfortable

FranceBathroom is too small for 3 adults. Breakfast buffet and breakfast sitting area are not on the same floor: so you need to help yourself on one floor and then walk downstairs with your tray/plates to enjoy it with the sea view The exit from the parking is a bit dangerous as you can’t see the cars unless your car is already a bit engaged on the road: a mirror on the opposite side on the road would make this exit more safe
We were on half board. Food was nice and there were quite a few non-residents guests who came for dinner, showing that the restaurant is of good quality.

IndiaThe hotel is located very close to a big public beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very comfortable for family stay. All the staffs are polite and friendly. Ms. Yogini, Sooman and Mr. Keenu helped us throughout our stay. They helped us make our holiday memorable. Apart from them all the housekeeping and restaurant staffs were also very good. There’s a nice garden area with so many trees and birds for kids to enjoy and relax. I would recommend the property for long stays with family.

GermanyI can highly recommend this place - and I highly question some of the reviews that you can find online about this little hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms incl kitchen & balcony/terrase are big, nice and clean. It’s 1 minute by foot to the public beach. The hotel has a little beach access as well - where u can also swim in theory. The overall staff is super super sweet incl lady at the reception (she is there every day from morning until 4.30 and then there is also always someone), the cleaning ladys, the boys at the breakfast area with a nice seating to the ocean. The dinner restaurant & the bar is not in use anymore - so for dinner & drinks you need to use one of hotels/restaurants next to it - and there are plenty of them by foot within 1-5 minutes (just use google maps..) and also a super market 5 minutes. Breakfast was also everything there you need (fruits, bread, croissant, yoghurt, omelette, plenty of of fresh juice etc.) - but it’s true; you need to be on time otherwise it can be empty. Cleaning is done everyday (only Sunday it’s off which is OK imo). You get beach towels. Check-in and check-out went perfectly well & super fast - thanks so much! It’s a quiet place - which we liked very much. The pool is also nice and we used it every day - so yes - you can use it! The garden is super super nice (from the rooms to beach/pool/breakfast area). You can reach the public beach by foot if you walk along the street (1 minute to the left) - or along the ocean just from the hotel. There is also an additional public beach 5-10 minutes by foot to the other way. You can park your car in front of the reception - plenty of space. Very good value for money (maybe a bit for for couple then for families with kids

RomaniaMy stay was riddled with issues that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. The most troubling was the complete absence of staff in general and specifically when I arrived - no receptionist, no tour of the property, no one around to assist. No explanation or tour was offered the following days either, I just had to guess how things worked. I asked a waiter about breakfast time and they just shrugged. There was no one throughout the day to even ask for a drink. It felt disorganized and unwelcoming. The food was a major disappointment. If you’re not on half board, there’s no à la carte menu - only an unappetizing buffet or set menu. Since I wasn’t on half board, my meals were often forgotten, mistaken, or improvised, despite costing quite a lot. After two frustrating days and one terrible dinner, I gave up and ate elsewhere. Keep in mind, most restaurants aren’t within walking distance, which is inconvenient, especially if you’re traveling solo. Basic amenities were also lacking - my minibar was rarely refilled, even after multiple requests, and the beach towels were never replaced. The rooms aren't cleaned during the weekend. Breakfast was equally underwhelming, with no vegetables and a very limited selection apart from eggs made to order. There was no view from my terrace, which might be something to request ahead of time. The hotel’s "beach" is just a rocky patch; for a proper beach, you need to walk at least 10 minutes. Throughout my stay, I overheard other guests complaining about various issues, from things not working to loud music on terraces, which staff completely ignored. I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because Mauritius itself is wonderful, but the indifference from the team running it left a bad taste. This hotel could be great with a more proactive and guest-focused team. They have a new receptionist who seems to be doing her best so hopefully things will improve.
The hotel itself has potential and I did enjoy the room - it was comfortable, with a good bed, and the garden is very beautiful.

United KingdomWe liked almost everything, and also all members of staff (with small exceptions) are genuinely nice people. What could be better is the breakfast buffet to be promptly refilled with fresh fruits which are the first to finish and sometimes don’t get replaced. Also the chairs in the restaurant can be thoroughly cleaned as they are stained. Despite of that it wasn’t unpleasant to sit on them, because the view from the restaurant is breathtaking.
The hotel is located right on the beach and it has a beautiful garden. We loved that there are sun beds and umbrellas right on the beach and not only at the pool. One person in particular made our stay very pleasant - the restaurant manager Dev, who made sure we are served food which agrees with our stomachs and his professionalism and politeness is unparalleled!
