Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSmoking allowed outside the restaurant. Guests shouldn't be allowed to smoke close to others eating. The resort could do with some renovation - we are aware that this is happening next year!
The staff were amazing. They were very friendly and eager to serve wth love. They went out of their way to help and we connected well with all of them. They are your best asset. We received an upgrade to our room without request. We can't mention every staff member but we would like to say thank you to Balram,Rati, Sheila, Alisha, Ackhia, Aslam, Sweta, Vassen (he cleaned our room) etc . Being an Adults only resort is a bonus. The beach is lovely, the pool is awesome and we had many choices for breakfast and dinner.

United KingdomI am being very picky here but as with many all-inclusives, drinks were sometimes weak – the alcohol content was very low.
The staff were genuinely friendly and always smiling – a big contrast to other 5-star resorts I’ve stayed in. The room was spotless with strong air con and WiFi. The pool was cleaned daily, sunbeds always available, and the beach was immaculate. Food was varied and consistently delicious. Loads of activities too – kayaking, volleyball, table tennis, aqua aerobics. Service felt personal.

United KingdomStruggle to find anything not to like. Maybe the evening entertainment could have been more contemporary and the service was a bit hit and miss at times in the main Coral Bar but I’m being picky.
A fabulous hotel to relax and chill in beautiful Mauritius. Had everything you need and in immaculate condition. The layout of the facilities was excellent. Our room was exceptional and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Felt the luxury from the moment we arrived. We were made to feel special by the team because we booked on Booking.command we didn’t have a tour rep. There was plenty to do on site and can recommend Chris’s speedboat 5 island tour. The food was very high quality and plenty of choice. Special shout out for Natasha - Dolce Vita Luv - Pool Bar Vishal - La Plage Daryl - H & H Bar Annabelle - Dolce Vita We booked a suite on this site for less than a normal room through operators. We had a sitting room, huge bathroom, shower room and one of the largest bedrooms we’ve stayed in. Have seen smaller apartments. You won’t regret booking this resort, is in our top ten now.

South AfricaPeople “book” their chairs next to the swimming pool and then not show up for hours, and there are limited chairs to lie down in shade, so then you have to be in the sun, and on a hot day that is not ideal.
The hospitality, the drinks and food variety on AIP was amazing!

IrelandIt's very hard to say something bad about the place. We had all inclusive packages, but had to pay extra for some common cocktails 😕. The 2 speciality restaurants have to be booked, but they only take a very small amount of people each evening, you have to be aware to book well in advance. The service was exceptional, at both, and food presentation and taste top class, but not a good feeling when they tell you, sorry, not tonight or tomorrow.
Worth the 12 hour flight. The feeling from the moment you step in is amazing. The staff will do anything to make you feel good, entertained. We had a experience, when we asked for an coconut water, we received a personalized one. I would recommend a massage at spa as well. The sea view from the hotel is breathtaking. The restaurant staff is always very attentive, full of jokes, mentioning here Anil and his team from the La Plage restaurant. But the feeling to relax under a coconut tree by the water is what impressed me the most. Water sport activities can be fun as well, we did snorkelling at special spot brought over with a glass bottom boat, kayak and hydrobycicle, all for free .

NetherlandsThe food and alcohol is treated as quantity over quality. None of the wine was enjoyable and the cocktails are all quite overly sweetened. The room felt a bit dated and not well maintained.
The resort itself is really beautiful. It sometimes appears like there are more staff than guests in the sense of it feeling that there is always someone available to assist you and they are really friendly. We never waited long for food or drinks. The amenities are great and its lovely having so many things you can entertain yourself with, from relaxing on the beach to playing tennis and other games. We loved our time at the spa. The room was really large and the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomWe travelled as a family - parents in our seventies and our 31-year-old daughter. We thought our Junior De Luxe Suite would enable us to be reasonably independent of each other (parents and daughter) but this was not truly possible as the exit to the patio (and to the lawn and beach) could only be locked and unlocked from the inside so for us parents to enter or exit, we had to go through our daughter’s room. Although her room had its own toilet and shower, there was no basin so she had to have access to “our” bathroom. To their credit, however, when we pointed our problem out to reception, they provided a separate room for our daughter at no extra charge.

United KingdomWe didn’t realise that this was a TUI destination and so it was therefore much busier than we expected which resulted in the pool and beach areas feeling crowded. It wasn’t the quiet paradise Island that we were expecting. It was difficult to get a well positioned sun lounger unless you were willing to get up early and reserve them with your towel. We were also disappointed to find on our first day, we struggled to book into any of the à la carte restaurants. We had chosen this resort because of the à la carte restaurants and had been planning on eating at them every night. However, when we arrived, we could only book the beach restaurant for our last night (6 nights later than when we’d arrived) we could only book a 6:30 slot at the Italian restaurant which is much earlier than we would have preferred to eat. This is a solid four star resort. Food and drinks are nice but no-frills and designed to cater for a large volume of guests. All inclusive was good value for money. The bedrooms were also solid 4-star quality - our room was comfy and nicely decorated but very dark and the fixtures fittings and plumbing in bathroom needed upgrading.
Huge pool and pretty beach and bay for swimming. Good lunch options - beach cabana, buffet, and Italian a la carte. All inclusive was good value for money.
