How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe booked a room without a balcony and with a small window, but they gave us a better room when we checked in, thank you! The area itself is quite convenient, close to transport and a convenient transport interchange. But if you want to relax at night, the street is quite noisy and under the windows there are parties until 6 am, which can be heard even with the windows closed. Breakfasts are not bad, but quite monotonous, every day everything is the same. It was a little embarrassing that one night, someone from the staff burst in on us while we were sleeping, they just opened the door with their key and went in at night, then apologized and quickly left, it was strange. The hotel is price-quality.

Verified reviewWe had a queen room, which was a great size and the shower was really nice. The location is great IF you want to be right in the heart of the party area (was a bit too much for us). The highlight though was the access to Flo rooftop pool club. It’s good vibes up there, has amazing sushi and fair priced drinks. It’s nice that you get the basic beds for free, as they were decent enough and saves you paying €40+ euros just for a bed in other pool clubs.
The bed was quite hard and the balcony overlooked abandoned buildings (this actually didn’t bother us too much though, but is worth mentioning). The downside was the noise in the hotel itself. Could hear a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning, which made it hard to sleep over the weekend busy periods.
Dear Samantha, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the spacious room, our central location, and the complimentary access to the Flo rooftop pool – it’s certainly a favourite among many of our guests. We're glad you appreciated the poolside atmosphere, sushi, and fair pricing. That said, we regret to hear that the noise and firmness of the bed affected your comfort. We understand that our vibrant surroundings may not suit all travellers, particularly over the weekend. While our windows are double-glazed to reduce external noise, we are continually looking at ways to improve the sound insulation within the building. Your comments are appreciated and help us to further enhance the guest experience. We hope to welcome you again under more relaxing circumstances. Kind regards, The Londoner Hotel St. Julian’s Team

Verified reviewThe location is perfect was close to paceville and lots of food spots, we was on a party holiday and it was right near the strip but far enough that we heard no noise at night (we had a back room so not sure about front), lovely clean hotel and the pool which is a couple doors down is lovely
Can’t bring your own food or drink into pool we just wanted water but it’s not too overly priced in there
Dear Molly, Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed our convenient location, the cleanliness of the hotel, and your overall experience during your party holiday. It’s great to know that the room's positioning allowed for a peaceful night’s sleep despite the lively surroundings. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the poolside policy. While external food and drinks are not permitted at the pool area, we’re glad to hear you found the pricing reasonable. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon! You're not allowed to take any food or drink to the pool, not even water. The lighting in the room was a little dark.

Verified reviewWhen we first arrived into the hotel room, the frame to the door had broken so we could not even shut the door to the balcony. When we told reception about this the woman came to our room and was more interested in the view from our room than sorting the problem - when I asked if we could change rooms she said “it’s not that big of a deal” There was also black stains and rips in the curtains at the bottom that looked scruffy and dirty. Our balcony was also next door to a club/ beach club so it was pretty unbearable to sleep with all the noise next door. There was stains on the white bedding when we got there. There was also a big crack in the glass door.
Dear Sophie, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay. Please accept our sincere apologies for the condition of the room and the response you received from our team, which clearly did not meet our usual standards of service and attention. What you described falls short of the quality we strive to offer, and your concerns regarding the balcony door, cleanliness, noise, and damaged furnishings have been noted with great care. We take this feedback very seriously and will be addressing each point internally to ensure such matters are promptly resolved and do not recur. Should you consider staying with us again, we would welcome the opportunity to provide you with the high standard of comfort and service that our guests deserve. Thank you once again for bringing these matters to our attention. Best regards, The Londoner Hotel St. Julian’s Team

Verified reviewThe staff are very nice, the hotel is very clean and secure you get a card to enter the place, lift and room. The breakfast was very good, quite small area but still has a large variety of food which they constantly refill. The room was great and has everything you need. It is right beside the party area so it can get a bit loud but we didn’t mind that.

It is also wonderful to know that you enjoyed the breakfast selection and found your room well-equipped and comfortable.
