Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo cons at all!
Everything! The location was perfect—right by the harbor with stunning views. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home.

United StatesThe spa is underground so somewhat dingy, and the small plunge pool is also dark and uninviting (a rooftop pool would be much more inviting).
(2) Location overlooking the grand harbour; (2) Spacious and well-decorated rooms with a full living room and a small kitchen; (3) excellent breakfasts and helpful staff.

AustraliaThere was minimal natural light and only a good view from the bathroom, so would consider a different room configuration next time.
The Iniala Modern offered a perfect balance of modern décor and amenities, with local charm in a historic location. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Starting the day at their rooftop restaurant with a delicious breakfast was perfect.

United KingdomThere was not one thing we would change. We were not in the same building as the spa and gym so we couldn't walk from our room to these facilities in a robe but it was fine.
We could not fault this hotel. We had a room overlooking the harbour towards Fort St Angelo, and this was the view at breakfast too. The best view ever. The staff were amazing. Very receptive and efficient and accommodating on any minor requests we had. The gym was really handy and the spa was very relaxing and sumptuous. We did not take advantage of the restaurant but the breakfasts were amazing. The room staff came in twice a day and kept our room clean and left little treats.

United KingdomIt would of been nice if the hotel had a bar you could sit at. You can order drinks in the reception area, but they took a while to arrive, there is only a bar in the restaurant which is only available when eating. We found although the breakfast was lovely on two or three occasions they didn't get out order right, I feel this is because they don't write anything down!
The hotel was a beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely views from the restaurant and breakfast was lovely, well cooked and a good variety of choice. We had the Spa room, which was actually booked in error but it was a beautiful comfortable room with everything you needed provided. Lounge area, bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with double shower. Easy access to the ferries and a short walk to the centre of Valletta, location great. The spa was small but nice, we had it to ourselves most of the time. It was literally outside our room. We had a 13 course meal in the hotels Michelin star restaurant, which was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would visit again and recommend.

United KingdomIniala Harbour House is everything you could wish for from a luxury hotel. Location: sits right on the harbour, overlooking the water towards the three cities, with easy access to boats and ferries. Plus a short walk to Valletta’s city centre, with bars, restaurants, cathedrals and palaces to explore. Staff: wonderful, wonderful people. Not just efficient and fast, but genuinely friendly and interesting. Food: the best Michelin star meal I have experience. But they also do a fabulous breakfast, and delicious room service menu. Comfort: our room, wow! Stunning views across the harbour, extremely comfortable and well thought out, with exceptional facilities. Cleanliness: the hotel is immaculate and smells wonderful! Value for money: worth every penny.

UkraineThe only thing I can mention is the smell of the mold in the treatment room in spa where I had massage. In spa you expect very nice scents and it was a little bit unpleasant to breath in the smell of the mold when I just entered the room. But honestly, it is nothing comparing to great experience I had in this hotel. Just a small thing for a manager to pay attention to.
Everything was simply perfect. The attention to details, super helpful team, the beauty of the hotel, amazing restaurant. The way they prepared room before my sleep - it was absolutely great and super cozy experience. 10 out of 10, can’t wait to stay again

United KingdomThe room was rather cosy...I guess because of the space constraints in the apartments, but i could have done with a specific area to hang towels after a shower in the room. We had to improvise with the hangers in the wardrobe.
There's a lot to like about Iniala Harbour Hotel, but the most outstanding aspect was their people. They were all so warm, friendly and happy to help. While everyone was lovely, Rashpal Singh went above and beyond. Every afternoon he served tea and engaged in conversation making us feel very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the coffee was wonderful, so much so that the coffee at the airport lounge on our way back tasted like dirty water. The ION restaurant took you on a journey around the world with their wine selection and the food was excellent. The Essensi Spa massage was unarguably the best massage I have ever received, it even made my fussy husband a convert. The Works Gym was well equipped with workout paraphernalia and accessories like towels (cold and dry). You can also get drinks (cold and hot).
