How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery much! I absolutely adore this place!
Location wise it’s not the best but can be handled if you don’t mind bit of walking to town.

Verified reviewBeautiful place, very romantic.
Be careful about check-in time. While doing a road trip through Malta and hopping from hotel to hotel, I missed the information about check-in time and was received with a rude attitude by the owner.

Verified reviewI loved this place! It was like being a guest at an exotic mansion!
I had a hard time finding it. Google took me to a location about a block away. It's across from the pharmacy!

Verified reviewA very good, tasty, UNIQUE breakfast. They are so talented in preparing such incedible, various food and pastries. Nice pool area. Some kitchen items like ex. a bottle opener, are found even on tray near rooms , together with a handy fridge. Useful. Even hosts sent messages prior arrival , indicating useful tips, like parking, as feast was ongoing. We appreciated a lot. Great rooms, lovely, pittoresque house. Proset.
Nothing.

Verified reviewA Perfect Stay in Gozo! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this B&B in Gozo! From the moment we booked, the communication was exceptional — quick responses, clear instructions, and so friendly. It made planning our trip so much easier and stress-free. The hosts truly go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable... breakfast highly recommended, so much effort and variety... felt spoilt to be honest!!! The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed. The location was also ideal for us :) Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gozo. We’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Verified reviewThe breakfast was amazing! Worth going to Ta’ Didi just for Diana’s breakfast… Ta’ Didi also has a lovely pool and feels secluded behind high walls. It’s a little out of town in Kercem, so you need a taxi to get back into Victoria, but it’s only a 5 minute ride and there is a bar across the road which serves reasonable food. David’s bakery is also 5 minutes walk away and well worth a visit.
The Internet was good when it worked but a bit patchy and temperamental.

Verified reviewA hidden gem and a paradise of bohemia, taste, tranquility, plants and assorted decorations in a limestone property of character opens unexpectedly as soon as you open the main door from the beautiful church square down the little road. It is within walking distance (a nice way to walk) to the capital city of Victoria. The hosts, Diana and Fabrizio, take care of the property and guests with as much love and detail as you treat you own loved ones. The breakfast: is not a breakfast! It is made with so much love and changing surprises and flavours that Diana makes it an experience on its own. One could easily assume that she is a chef - delicious! Totally against my plans my heart told me to stay one more night just to consume that beautifully created place.
That I had to leave it. Will DEFINITELY be back.

Verified reviewFantastic place to stay. Lovely hosts who were there when we needed them and melted into the background when we didn't. We had the place to ourselves on our last day. Wonderful breakfast and lovingly prepared. 15 Euros a head. Communication was excellent. It was like being in an oasis. We had a really lovely stay and would highly recommend it.
No fault of the hotel at all but we chose the wrong room. We were expecting a balcony and we misread the description which said we in fact had an inner terrace. This was not adjoined to our room and had no view so we didn't use it although it had two chairs and a table and was fine. Our fault entirely but the Lilac Room (we are guessing the name of it) has no windows (well one tiny one). Lovely lightening and a bright bathroom however.

Verified reviewThe location was perfect for us. Beautiful, calm, the perfect place to come down. The communication was quick and easy, the owner really reactive on the phone. The breakfast was the best i have seen on holidays so far. All freshly made, a lot of choice and owners always helpful and friendly. Thank you and maybe see you again.
Not much negative to say. It is an old charming house, you have to love this. Nothing modern clean looks etc...
