How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Sliema. The location on the seafront is convenient with nice walks along the promenade and easy access to the area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff responded quickly to our questions and were always helpful. Great experience overall!

Verified reviewThe location is great, had a very quiet room and quite a comfortable sleep as well. Room was basic but spacious and just what I needed for an overnight stay
I was meant to check out by 11am, I went out for a run and returned at 10:15am to find the cleaner in the room cleaning the room which I thought was odd considering I was about to shower and check out. So I sat in the hallway to give the cleaner space. She then stopped cleaning and left the room, I asked if she needed to take or do anything further so I could close the door and get ready to leave and she asked me how long I would be. I said probably 30 minutes and she replied the quicker you are the better it is for me because the other guests have already arrived even though check in isn’t till 2pm. She left the place half cleaned unnecessarily and left rubbish in the floor and wet muddy footprints. Didn’t really appreciate feeling rushed even tho I had 40 minutes left of the room

Verified reviewGreat location, spacious room with big mirror and small garden. Safe environment and the host was very helpful, always replying early and trying to help.
It wasn’t very clean. There was hair in one of the towels and the floor was a bit dirty. Also the shared kitchen had weird smell. There was inly one bin in the room, the one in the bathroom which was so small.

Verified reviewFirst of all it is an absolutely beautiful property. I can’t tell you how amazing it is and all the amenities that I required plus peace and quiet when you needed it. I cannot recommend this place more to anybody. It is 10 out of 10 if I could give more I would.

Verified reviewPros: Good location – close to the bus stop and the sea. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: - The breakfast was practically non-existent. “Included” turned out to mean helping yourself to whatever groceries someone else had bought – not a proper breakfast. (My fault for not reading the fine print and the reviews more carefully, but still, “breakfast included” should mean something else.) - The coffee wasn’t just weak – it was strange, and completely missing for about two days. - Only when we arrived at the location and read the information left in the room did we find out there would be no cleaning service, no towel or linen changes, and no extra toilet paper (only two rolls for two people for seven nights) – and that any of these would only be available upon request, for an extra charge.

We can't prepare food for customers as a special permit is required. Therefore, we've prepared croissants, toast, eggs, coffee, tea, jam and milk. The refrigerator, microwave oven and electric stove are in the small kitchen. They are for public use, so you can make the food you want. The water temperature of the entire building is set uniformly. Given the electrical safety of this century-old building, the hot water temperature is set at 80℃. This is an inevitable issue for old buildings with a prime location. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

There was not enough toilet paper. One roll for 3 people for 5 days. In 5 days the room was never cleaned or the trash was taken out.
Yes, when you checked in, I had elaborated this very clearly in the letter to guests. The cleaning fee and the usage fee for sanitary products you paid only cover the cost for one time. Verified reviewEverything was amazing but the best part was the hospitality of the host. Please note that on Malta they use a different power socket, then the most of EU. They have the same as in UK. My husband and I were working online and the Wi-Fi was excellent both for work and to watch movies/youtube etc. The check-in/checkout was very easy and convenient. The location was great. The facility had everything needed including iron and a washing machine!!! Our room didn’t had a window, but it was absolutely fine with us. There are rooms with windows if needed. In the kitchen there is only 1 electrical burner wich is super slow in comparison with gas or induction, but we managed to cook everything we needed. There is a Lidl in about 10 min walk. Also, thanks to the host for the excretions recommendations, the Malta Experience museum, was my top favorite. It could be quite cold in a room in January, but there is an AC you can set up. We would definitely come back to stay here again

Verified reviewWe love this place! It's an extremely clean, spacious and beautiful place, looks like brand new, modern apartments. There is quite good coffee from the coffee machine - bliss! Each room has its own bathroom, air conditioning and kettle with tea; beds are very comfortable - what more could you want! :) In addition, when you open the front door of the main entry, you can see the sea! I love this Maltese coastline with old Roman baths and rocks! Moreover - the bus stop is 5 minutes from the apartments, buses go almost everywhere :) Last but not least - we found an extremely tasty and inexpensive Lebanese restaurant nearby :) Let me give you the last compliment: staff is friendly and helpful, replied everytime we had question - we appreciate it a lot!!! All in all - we want to highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!
