How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Several things were not right. The room needs a good clean up. There was house dust all over the furniture- the ceiling fan was dripping with dust and also the doors and wardrobe. We ended up without WiFi the whole 3 days we spent there. The pool was filthy that we did not even swim at all.
I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay. As you can see from other reviews no one has ever been so negative .The building is a farm house so it does get a bit dusty from the lime stone which is understandable. I'm sorry about the pool but it fad a default on tge pump and did not work at the tine ic you sray but niw gas been resolved .

Verified reviewFantastic house and a very comfortable room. Perfect location within a few minutes walk from the centre of Qala. Michelle could not have been more welcoming and helpful not to mention making a superb breakfast! Thanks for a great stay and would not hesitate to book again!

Verified reviewThis is a lovely B&B in a wonderful location. Michelle is an excellent host, warm, friendly and informative. She cooked a fantastic breakfast, we could have anything we liked at any time we liked. The house is a lovely Maltese home on 3 levels. Very clean with great facilities. Air con in the bedrooms was a god send in the July heat and the pool was great place to chill after a busy day. Parking was easy outside the house and there are bus stops nearby. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Qala to enjoy your evenings. Thanks Michelle.

Verified reviewGreat host, very friendly and knowledgeable about Gozo. Breakfast set you up for the day. Quiet location but good bus to Victoria and the Ferry. Good food options in the village if you didn’t want to travel into Victoria. Great beach short walk away ( a hill back up from beach)
Unfortunately the pool was out of action for the duration of our stay.

not much I can say here. As all was good. The pool needs a little tending to and a little cleaning, but with the way that dust is flying all around with the surrounding construction, there is not much one can do here.

If you are trying to find a place to relax believe me this is the place you need. Imagine you hear only birds singing. What an experience! The place is sooo peacefull. Great breakfast. And super clean. This was the first time for me and my partner but def it not the last time..Michelle thank you so very much! You are a beautiful amazing person. Keep up the great work! Xx

Verified reviewQuiet area, close to the main square. Good parking in front of the house, amazing breakfast with super friendly host.
Not enough water pressure in the shower. Low humming noise on top floor starting near 3AM possibly a broken AC next door, barely noticeable during the day, during the night it made me sleep in earplugs. Water dispenser was empty, bottle was promised to be replaced but that never happened. Swimming pool was ugly green. Many metal surfaces were rusty.
