Reviews of Mr Todd Hotel

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable — I could literally feel the springs poking into my back through the mattress, which made it very difficult to sleep properly. To make matters worse, I suspect the mattress may have had dust mites, as I experienced constant itching during the night. Additionally, the so-called “balcony” was very misleading. When I opened the door expecting some fresh air and a view, I stepped into a walled-in space with just an open frame at the top — definitely not what one would consider a proper balcony.

There was a construction building right in front of the hotel and the noise was unbearable. They started working from 6:30 am till 5 pm and sometimes 7pm in the afternoon. These hours you couldn’t be in your room except if you wanted to end up with a migraine. We complained to the staff and we asked for another room at the other side of the building but they did nothing about it. We even asked for the manager and gave our phone number so that the manager would give us a call but guess what. We never heard from anyone. It’s like they didn’t even bother to care a little bit for the guests. We paid full price for zero amenities

The location and cleanliness of this property are its strong points.

I had stayed at this hotel before and overall I had a good experience. My second stay was less positive. First of all, communication with the staff before my arrival was inadequate, as the operator kept changing, so I was forced to repeatedly confirm things that had already been said and agreed upon. Secondly, the shower drain was broken, which I don't think is appropriate for a room costing over 120 euros a night. Thirdly, this time I found the soundproofing between the rooms to be quite poor (I was woken up at 2am by my neighbors coming back from their room and they weren't making any particular noise). Finally, I must confirm, as on my first stay, that the quality of the food served at breakfast leaves much to be desired. On the other hand, the location is excellent and the staff was kind to me, so despite everything I wouldn't rule out returning, perhaps if there's a better deal than the one I found on this occasion.

Comfortable bed, big room, minimal design.

Shower with no pressure, difficult to find a good temperature, noisy AC, breakfast can be improved.

The room had a really nice terrace, loved the view.

Location was great- really close to the ferry terminal and water front of Sliema. Lots of food, dining, transport and convenient groceries facilities nearby. Also quite quiet in the rooms, and staff were helpful, kind and helped us to arrange transport which was really appreciated.

Beds were uncomfortable. We were also unable to open our bathroom window as it opened directly into a shaft where other guests smoked in. We left our window open for a few hours one night and the whole room smelled like cigarettes and permeated into everything, which was quite disgusting. The staff were very apologetic when we raised it, but being non-smokers, it was very unpleasant for our stay.

There is a construction site behind the building so it was very noisy starting with 7 am, there was also noise coming from the street at night due to the poor insulation of the windows so I had to wear earplugs. Another thing we didn’t like was the bed was a bit uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

It was close to the water front and ferries and buses. Many shops and restaurants close by. The room was quite spacious.

My room faced a small road which was noisy with cars and people. I needed to use earplugs at night. Be aware that construction works are nearby and many rooms are affected by the noise.

While chosing between a stay in Valetta directly or staying at Todd's we relied on the reviews saying it's very easy to reach and it was an absolute true! There is a bus, a ferry, Uber is very accessible outside of peak times, there are plenty of restaurants in the area - the location is top! The room was also very clean, everything was great.

A clothes horse was the only thing missing to dry your clothes that had to be hand washed and an iron

Excellent hotel. Close to everything. I should mention the hospitality and the service from the staff is beyond excellent. The holiday was a success because of the great vibe. They are really professional. I would recommend 100% and also planning to come back again.

The hotel failed to mention anywhere on their listing that there was a building site right next door - which woke me up at 7am every morning with loud drilling.

The location is perfect—very close to the buses, ferry etc. If you coming by car it would be some challenge to find the parking place, but still possible. Rooms are very clean.

During our stay, demolition of the building outside the room windows was in progress, so it was a bit noisy in the morning. You need to take an adapter to the socket because there are no free-of-charge ones in the hotel.

Very clean and cozy hotel. Great location in the center of Sliema, perfect to go for a walk and to get the ferry to go everywhere in the island. There are lots of shops and restaurants close to the hotel. We will surely repeat.

Modern and central for bars and restaurants. Room and bathroom good sizes. Within 5 mins walk to airport bus stop as well as access to Sliema ferries to Valletta.
