Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaI wouldn’t want to stay on the lower floors because the street is very noisy all day and night… and I was not satisfied with the breakfast area, as there were very few high-quality vegetables....
I really liked the hotel room (on the 15th floor) and the swimming pool area...

United KingdomWe love everything about the hotel. We were a bit sceptical about Saint Julian’s area knowing that it can be very busy and chaotic with parties. However, our experience has been positive. The area is really convenient. You are minutes away from many great restaurants supermarket and even car rental company. There were only one night where the hotel next door had a pool party so it was a bit noisy but all music stopped after 11 o’clock so it didn’t bother us at all. At night the streets can be a bit chaotic with partygoers but it still feel relatively safe to walk around with two young children..
We absolutely love everything about us stay at the hotel. It is no doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. There are so many things to love about it, but I’ll include a few highlights! To start with, the hotel is really new and it is beautiful. The room and facilities are new, clean and instagram worthy. We love the outdoor pools, indoor pool, sauna and steam room! There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy and never feel crowded. We were upgraded to a really nice and big room, with balcony and sea view. Along with the upgrade, we also got some perks, including complimentary tickets for our family of 4 to visit the museum of illusion, free soft drink from the mini bar during our stay, cocktail experience at the amazing rooftop bar etc. I was at the hotel a week before my birthday and they couldn’t be more lovely! We came back to our hotel room one evening to find Prosecco, cakes and treats for an early celebration of my birthday! They even provided a soft drink and fruit skewers for my children! All free!! The other thing I absolutely love about the hotel is their service. The cleaning team will clean the room while we are out sightseeing making sure we come back to a clean and tidy room. And when we head out for dinner, they come in again and replenished bottled water by the bedside tables. Thank you so much to the team at ME Malta for the amazing experience. We would love to come back again!

ItalyThe rooms are gorgeous, but be careful when booking because the hotel has some rooms in an adjacent building, the Mercury Residence, which is not at all easy to reach; you have to change elevators three times. Once we've changed room in the main building, everything is exceptional! Paola was very helpful

United KingdomNot a problem for us but just to be mindful that there isn’t a separate bathroom, it is incorporated into the room. It is in the very heart of St Julian’s, so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and tucked away, this isn’t the property for you.
The property was extremely clean and modern. Decor was nice. The balcony was huge, wrapped around the whole room. Staff were very friendly and polite. We had drinks on the rooftop at sunset which was lovely. We had a couples massage which we both enjoyed, spa was nice but just to be mindful that the indoor pool is used by all hotel guests. Close proximity to restaurants and shops. Overall I’d highly recommend this property.

Location was excellent. Staff were fantastic. The food was fabulous. The pool was lovely. The indoor pool spa area is unreal. The rooftop bar restaurant at sunset was a highlight.

United KingdomSo the good thing about this hotel is its convenient position however for some this is a drawback as this means you are surrounded by cranes and building work and very loud music on some nights. The hotel needs to decide what group they are catering for. I personally think it’s ideal for the young/young at heart and business people. One suggestion that could be taken on board is that the music round the pool should be more mellow instead of the boom boom beat that was on all the songs.Something more similar to the music played in the breakfast restaurant that would appeal to a wider range of guests.
This property is under a year old and has a cool modern vibe. The rooms were lovely and choice of restaurants great. The pool area was very comfortable particularly the sun beds.Staff were extremely friendly and always had time for a chat.Guest relations were super and surprised us with a chocolate cake and bottle of Prosecco. The Spa and Gym facilities were excellent too.We would definitely return to this hotel.

BelgiumWe loved the hotel! The attention to detail and the level of service were fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of! We were even given the opportunity to choose our room. Although they probably can't do this every time, as we were lucky to arrive late, and no one else was checking in. A special thank you to Francesco and colleague (unfortunately, I don't remember his name) for taking such good care of us. Everything about the hotel impressed us, right down to the luxuriously large, fluffy bath towels. Breakfast was fabulous and the hotel itself is stunning. I was worried because in the reviews it said that the pool is shaded by 4 pm, which is the case, but if you want more pool time, you can simply go to the second pool which has sun for longer. And what was also great, even though it was July, there was always a free cabana, no matter what time of day we got to the pool. It's not the type of demographic that wakes up at the crack of dawn to reserve their spot for the whole day. The views are amazing and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We were touched that the hotel surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a bottle of bubbly and a slice of chocolate cake, which was elegantly presented. It also has an impressive fitness center, packed with all of the equipment! We were there for 8 days and loved it. The only minor drawback for us is that it's in St Julian's which is very crowded and lively at night with the younger crowd. However, the rooms are well soundproofed and it's a great location to be able to access all parts of the island. We would definitely stay there again and it will be hard to find another hotel that can beat the experience we had at ME.

Great hotel, Great location! Couldn’t fault it! The staff and management couldn’t do enough for us. Two pools and it does get busy, but people come and go so plenty of room. Go to breakfast early as it does get busy, but the food comes out quickly and cooked perfectly

IrelandThe entrance has no parking outside, and the door opened right onto a busy street. At night it was pretty loud outside with people shouting in the streets. The toilet and shower bring out in the middle of the room felt a bit like being in a gym locker room.
The room was huge, so comfy and the view was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially Valeria and Francesco (I think those are the right names!) the pools were a good size and the loungers and cabanas were all very comfortable.

North MacedoniaAlthough stylish, the open bathroom layout may feel a bit lacking in privacy, which could be challenging for business travelers sharing a room.
ME Malta by Meliá did an excellent job reflecting the fluid, modern style of Mercury Towers, one of the final projects personally approved by Zaha Hadid. The pastel colors, perfectly combined with carefully selected furniture, evoke a sense of serenity and gentle warmth. The personalized welcome details from the hotel staff set the tone for an unforgettable experience, which continued throughout the stay with complimentary Nespresso coffee capsules, glass-bottled water, and chocolate cubes. The garment steamer, hair dryer and hair iron are new and work very well. Despite being used by guests, they are spotlessly clean and I hope it stays that way :) The cleanliness of this hotel is exceptional across all facilities, which is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodations. The spa center, featuring a cave-like indoor pool, is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The outdoor pool decks overlooking the sea are also stunning, although it can be quite windy at times. The room was spacious, with a large balcony furnished with clean, new pieces and offering a lovely view. All staff members were very attentive and polite, especially AURA Manager Paula Sardon, who was genuinely interested in hearing my feedback to help elevate the experience for future guests. I look forward to coming again and staying at other hotels in the ME by Meliá chain in the future.

GermanyHotel Review – ME by Meliá Malta My stay at ME by Meliá Malta was nothing short of exceptional. I’ve always admired the ME by Meliá brand, but this hotel stands out even among its peers. The design is ultra-modern, luxurious, and visually stunning – every detail is thoughtfully crafted. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the amazing staff – incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. They made me feel welcome from the very first moment. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every meal was a blend of elegance and flavor, with high-quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, everything felt like a fine-dining experience. If you’re looking for a destination that combines style, comfort, exquisite cuisine, and top-tier service, ME Malta is an unforgettable choice. I highly recommend it for anyone who values beauty, sophistication, and truly memorable travel experiences.
