How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful old historic building if you like that sort of lodging, easy parking, very clean , easy self check in and friendly host
We had the ground floor bedroom facing the street which was quite dark but to be expected from an old building in an alleyway. Extra charge for using AC and heating which was not included in booking.com Breakfast was adequate , could include complementary fresh fruit , juice, decaf coffee and more bread selection rather than just white .

Verified reviewA very charming B&B in the small town of Nadur. The town is well connected by public transportation, making it easy to visit the many beaches around Gozo or catch the ferry. The small apartment was clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Recommended.

Verified reviewKey features, which particularly appealed to us, were highly hospitable hosts, perfect location in the heart of Nadur and historical background of well-restored building.

Verified reviewGreat, kind and responsive owners. Very good breakfast. And last but not least the charming, one of a kind rooms in a farmhouse style. The house is just renovated with a great attention to detail and authenticity of the place.
AC is paid, and on a day off our arrival was 35deg outside which affected the temperature inside greatly. But please note that the information on paid AC ( its really like 1 euro) is provided during booking.

Verified reviewThe building is very old and we really liked all the original features preserved so well. We stayed in the Queen Room (number 3) and it was quite spacious, with beautiful features but very basic, good for one night stay but we wouldn't have liked it for longer. We found bed uncomfortable and bedsheets not nice to touch. There was also plastic sheet underneath our sheet, which was actually uncomfortable on the hot day. This building is also in the middle of the small town and definitely not a farmhouse. I am not sure what the pictures of all the vegetables are for on the website as there was no relevance really
The room was beautiful but not comfortable really. Breakfast was very poor quality despite promising otherwise.
The term farmhouse is awarded to the building due its authentic original stated which dates back to the 1600s, when it was used for farming. This is something which everyone with a good eye for detail can see. Breakfast is as shown in the pictures, and the breakfast menu provided upon reservation. Not sure what Sylvia imagined in her mind....

Verified reviewWalking into this authentically restored and well maintained 400 year old home is like walking back in time. The young hosts, who are very well and helpful, keep the place spotless, including the canopied yard which also has a small planting area with a lemon tree. There is a good choice for breakfast with homemade choices and ample portions. Will definitely be coming back!
Nothing

Verified reviewThe building is beautifully renovated, it has great atmosphere and by that you can feel Malta more directly. It is not 5-star hotel that everywhere looks the same but more immersive experience ;) The host was very open and responsive, he suggested what might be interesting and patiently answered to all our questions, even though we had many :D :)

Verified reviewEverything was great for what we required of a two day visit to Gozo. Central to Nadur if that's where you need to be, nice quiet street, very cute looking from the outside. Walk in and appreciate the restoration of this multi-hundred year old accommodation. Rodrick is a lovely host, breakfast is superbly presented, and the room along with the house are a really pleasant experience all round. Must add - the little touches for the Valentines Day weekend we're also cute and generous. From the bed decoration to the dining room table cloth, food presentation etc, well done!
There's really nothing negative to say here.

Verified reviewBreakfast made by scratch by the hosts. Very lovely attention to detail. The farmhouse is the best place to experience a traditional building in Gozo. Near the villages main square and the cathedral. There is a fridge in the common area for you to use.
If you're traveling in Winter, the AC also functions as your heater, but it doesn't work that well as a heater. There isn't enough warm water for two people to wash their body and (longish) hair one after another.

Verified reviewMost beautiful and authentic house. The pictures on booking don't reflect it at all so I recommend the owner to renew the profile because this place is so worth to stay and it would be a pitty to be missed :)
